Vega Sicilia 'Unico' 1965 Ribera del Duero

Unico is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tinto Fino (aka Tempranillo) from the Ribera Del Duero region in northwest Spain; matured in a combination of new and used oak barrels and in bottle for approximately 10 years - long exceeding the minimum requirements for the Gran Reserva classification.

This 1965 vintage also included Malbec which is no longer used in Unico. 

Vega Sicilia is one of Spain's most renowned wineries, responsible for three iconic wines: \"Unico\" Gran Reserva, \"Unico\" Reserva Especial and \"Valbuena\".

Joseph Drouhin 'Marquis de Laguiche' 1998 Montrachet Grand-Cru

Chardonnay from the iconic Burgundian Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Montrachet: matured for 18-21 months in 30% new French oak barrels. 

This wine comes from the Marquis de Laguiche estate which is entirely located on the Puligny side of the appellation. From the renowned négociant house Joseph Drouhin of Burgundy.

J. M. Boillot 1993 Batard-Montrachet Grand-Cru

Chardonnay from the iconic Grand Cru Burgundian vineyard and appellation of Bâtard-Montrachet, within the subregion of Côte-de-Beaune.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Vincent  Frères 1970 Echezeaux Grand-Cru 2x75cl

Famed Burgundian Pinot Noir the Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Echézeaux.

Created in 1937, the Echézeaux Grand Cru appellation is located in the Côtes de Nuits between Clos de Vougeot, Chambolle Musigny and Vosne-Romanée with approximately 80 vineyard owners. Only red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape are permitted.

This was a bottling for U.K agents, Old Chelsea Wine Stores Ltd, London.

Chardonnay from the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Folatières in the Burgundian appellation of Puligny-Montrachet.

Les Folatières is one of the largest and most renowned Premier Cru vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or.

Jacques-Frédéric Mugnier 'Clos de la Maréchale' 2005 Nuits-St-Georges 1er-Cru

Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru vineyard of Clos De La Marechale in the Burgundian appellation of Nuits-Saint-Georges, within the subregion of the Côte-de-Nuits; Aged for 18 months in barrel (15% new oak).

The monopole vineyard of Clos de la Maréchale, formerly known as Clos des Fourches and Clos Maréchal, has been owned by the Mugnier family since 1902. The vineyard coves 9 hectares and has an average age of 60 years as of 2024.

Jules Regnier 'la Combe aux Moines' 1961 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er-Cru

Pinot Noir from the large Premier Cru vineyard of la Combe aux Moine  in the Burgundian appellation of Gevrey-Chambertin.

The la Combe aux Moines (Combe au Moine) vineyard is one of the most northern and  elevated in Burgundy, reaching nearly 400 meters (1,300ft) above sea level.

Veuve Clicquot 'La Grande Dame' Brut 2012 Vintage Champagne / Yayoi Kusama

A limited edition 2012 Vintage Champagne from the famed House of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, made in collaboration with iconic Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. The label and box featuring her signature polka dot and floral motifs.

Created in tribute to Madame Clicquot, La Grande Dame is only developed in great vintages. This cuvee consists of eight Grands Crus, which are amongst the most prestigious in the Champagne region.

Founded in 1772 and based in Reims, Veuve is one of the largest and most renowned Champagne houses in the world. The company was purchased in 1986 by Louis Vuitton (now part of the LVMH group formed in 1987).

Villa Cafaggio 1999 Chianti Classico Riserva 6x75cl

Sangiovese dominant blend from the iconic wine-region of Chianti in the heart of Tuscany. Classed as a Chianti Classico Riserva, this wine must have been aged for a minimum of 24 months including 3 months of bottle ageing.

Chianti Classico wines must contain a minimum of 80% of Sangiovese. The remainder can be made from native grapes such as Canaiolo or Colorino, as well as international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Wines made only from Sangiovese have been permitted since 1996.

1997 vintage Champagne from the renowned House of Vilmaert et Cie.

Vilmart produce their Champagne from 11 hectares of their Premier Cru vineyard located in the Rilly-la-Montagne terroir.

The famed Champagne Wine Region located in the northeast of France is renowned for producing the world's most celebrated sparkling wine. Jean-Marc Morey Bourgogne circa 1990s 8x75cl

Pinot Noir from the regional appellation of Bourgogne (aka Burgundy).

The Morey family are one of the most renowned winemaking families in Burgundy and been involved in wine since the 18th century. In 1981 Jean-Marc Morey created his domaine when his father Albert retired and divided his estate between his sons Jean-Marc and Bernard.

J. La Fayette 1982 Volnay 1er-cru

Pinot Noir from Premier Cru vineyards in the iconic Burgundian appellation of Volnay.

The Volnay AOC was created in 1937 and is a located in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or.  The appellation applies to red wine made from Pinot Noir although up to 15% of the white wine grape Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris are permitted in the blends- although this is rarely utilised by producers. Almost 30 Premier Cru vineyards can be found within Volnay.

100% Sangiovese from the Italian region of Toscana (Tuscany).

This wine comes from vines with an average age of 50 years as of 2024 and is aged for 11 months in 20% new barrels followed by a further 7 months in stainless steel tanks.

Jasper Hill 'Georgia's Paddock' Shiraz 1997 Heathcote

Shiraz from the single vineyard of Georgia's Paddock within the Heathcote wine-region of Victoria, Australia.

Founded in 1975 with their first wine being released with the 1982 vintage, Jasper Hill is a small, family owned and run organic vineyard and winery best known for its benchmark shiraz.

Volker Eisele Family Estate 'Terzetto' 2000 Napa Valley 2x75cl

Terzetto is an even blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot from California's renowned Napa Valley: matured for 22 months in 60% new French oak barrels.

The Napa Valley wine region is arguably California's best known wine producing area, famed for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends. It was officially recognised for its high-quality wines and distinctive regional terroir when it became California’s first American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 1981.

Julius Kayser 'Westhofener Steingrube' Riesling Spätlese 1975 Rheinhessen 2x70cl

Mature, semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard of Steingrube, by the village of Westhofen within Rheinhessen wine-region just south-west of Frankfurt.

Spätlese is the the lightest of the German late harvest wines, produced from slightly-late-harvested grapes and may be either sweet or dry. If “Trocken” is noted on the label you can assume it's a dry style.

Jean Claude Boisset 1975 Vosne-Romanée

Pinot Noir from the Burgundian appellation of Vosne-Romanée. 

The renowned Vosne-Romanée appellation is located in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits and famed for it's high quality wines made from Pinot Noir. Though most wines produced are 100% Pinot Noir, regulations allow for the addition of up to 15% of the white wine grapes Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris to be included, however this is rarely utilised by producers. Originally called Vosne until 1866 when Romanée was added paying homage to it's most famed vineyard- La Romanée. The area is also home to other prized Premier and Grand Cru vineyards: Romanée-Conti, La Grand Rue, La Tâche, Richebourg and Romanée-Saint-Vivant.

John Duval 'Plexus' GSM 2006 Barossa Valley

A GSM blend (Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre) from the renowned Barossa Valley in South Australia.

This 2006 vintage is made from a blend of 52% Shiraz, 30 Grenache and 18% Mourvèdre matured for 16 months in 10% French oak hogsheads. 

Barossa Valley is amongst Australia's oldest and most renowned wine regions. The internationally recognised region has a Mediterranean climate and is synonymous with Australia's signature grape, Shiraz. The area also boasts some of the world's oldest continually producing Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling vines. Other prominent grapes of the region include, Semillon, Viognier and Mourvedre.

Sangiovese dominant blend, with Cabernet Sauvignon, from the little-known Tuscan DOC of Carmignano in Central Italy.

Classed as a Riserva, this wine must have been aged for a minimum of 3 years, including 12 months in barrel.

Juggernaut Pinot Noir 2020 Russian River Valley / Bogle Vineyards

Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley AVA of northern Sonoma County, California: matured for 12 months in a combination of new and used French oak barrels. 

Juggernaut limited-release wines are produced by Bogle Vineyards of Clarksburg, California. 

Juggernaut wines are sold without a seal over the cork. Cork type and markings are correct for this bottle.

Vacheron 'Clos des Roches' 1988 Sancerre

Sauvignon Blanc from the iconic Loire Valley appellation of Sancerre.

Sancerre is a small appellation located in the eastern part of the Loire valley famous for it's world renowned Sauvignon Blanc- although it also produces reds and rosé from Pinot Noir. Almost all of the appellation lies on the left bank of the Loire, opposite Pouilly-Fumé

Villa Annaberta 2012 Amarone della Valpolicella

Amarone della Valpolicella is one of Italy's most iconic wines.  As with all Valpolicellas, the wine is a blend of the Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grape varieties.  

Amarone is produced through a process of partially rack-drying grapes - to increase concentration of both natural grape flavours and sugars - for approximately 4 months before winemaking begins.  The result is a wine of atypical power, concentration and alcohol content with an ability to benefit from long periods of maturation.
