Taylor's 1947 Vintage Port

An incredibly old 1947 vintage Port from the renowned house of Taylor's. Bottled for Corney and Barrow Ltd.

Vintage Port is produced only in the most exceptional deemed years from a single harvest. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2-3 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades. The decision to declare a vintage is made by the individual Port house.

Tenuta San Guido 'Sassicaia' 2006 Bolgheri

First released with the 1968 vintage, Sassicaia is one of Italy's greatest and most iconic wines.  A \"Super-Tuscan\" by nature of being made from grape varieties not native to Tuscany, and which pays significant homage - and competition - to Bordeaux.

The wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend with Cabernet Franc; Matured for 20-25 months in French Oak barriques.

Thierry Laffay 'Vaudesir' 1998 Chablis Grand-Cru 6x75cl

Chardonnay from the iconic Grand Cru hilltop vineyard of Vaudésir in the iconic Burgundian appellation of Chablis; Matured for 10-14 months in 80%, partially new oak barrels and 20% Stainless steel vats. 

Chablis is one of the most well-known wine regions in France producing famous Chardonnay, which unlike other Chardonnay wines, rarely uses oak-ageing.

Etienne Sauzet 2008 Puligny-Montrachet 3x75cl

Chardonnay from the iconic Burgundian appellation of Puligny-Montrachet, within the subregion of Côte-de-Beaune.

Established in 1920, Etienne Sauzet is a family-run Domaine, known for producing some of the most renowned Chardonnay wine in Burgundy. Today their 15 hectares of vineyards spread over; Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Cormot-le-Grand in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune.

The flagship series Shiraz from the renowned Two Hands produced in South Australia's famed Barossa valley and McLaren Vale regions.

Barossa Valley is amongst Australia's oldest and most renowned wine regions. The internationally recognised region has a Mediterranean climate and is synonymous with Australia's signature grape, Shiraz. The area also boasts some of the world's oldest continually producing Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling vines. Two Hands 'Coach House Block' Shiraz 2008 Barossa Valley 3x75cl

Shiraz from the Coach House block of the larger Seppeltfiels vineyard, located within Australia's famed Barossa Valley just north of Adelaide.

Two Hands was established in 1999 by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz with the aim to produce top class, minimal intervention and oak use Shiraz from regions throughout Australia.

Terre del Barolo 1985 Barolo 300cl

Founded in 1958, Terre del Barolo is a cooperative winery based in Castiglione Falletto with more than three hundred members.

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

This is a 3 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Tua Rita 'Giusto Di Notri' 2004 Tuscany 2x75cl

A Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux style blend from the province of Livorno, located in the Tuscan wine-region; Aged for 18-20 months in French oak barrels.

The word \"Giusto\" refers to the name of the Patron Saint of Suvereto (the hilltop Tuscan town where Tua Rita is located) and \"Notri\" is the name of the winery's exact location.

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot.

Terre del Barolo 1999 Barolo 150cl

Founded in 1958, Terre del Barolo is a cooperative winery based in Castiglione Falletto with more than three hundred members.

Taylor's Crusted Port / Bottled 1974

Crusted Ports are Ruby Ports blended from multiple vintages, matured in oak casks for a period of approximately 3 years before being bottled without filtration. During normal filtration, grape sediment would be removed from the Port; without filtration, this sediment remains within the wine, eventually forming a solid crust which adds slight complexity. The premise behind Crusted Ports is to achieve a wine which falls somewhere between a normal Ruby and a Late Bottled Vintage Port in terms of complexity and flavour development.

Tenute Silvio Nardi 1994 Brunello di Montalcino 3x75cl

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years before release.

E.Guigal 1983 Hermitage

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage.

E. Guigal is one of the most renowned producers in the Rhône Valley. It was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis, where the headquarters remain to this day. The wines of Guigal are aged for a prolonged period of time in oak. Typically maturing for 36 months in 50% new oak barrels.

Hermitage or Ermitage is a small but world-renowned appellation located in the Northern Rhône, responsible for some of France's most prestigious red wines made from Syrah. Though typically made with 100% Syrah, regulations allow the addition of up to 15% of the white grapes Marsanne and Roussanne to be included. White wine is also produced in Hermitage in smaller quantities.

Enrico Serafino 1955 Barbaresco

DOC Barbaresco is one of the great - yet largely unsung - wines of Italy.  Similar to it's more famous neighbour, Barolo; Barbaresco is made from Nebbiolo grapes and must be aged for a minimum of 26 months (at least 9 months in wooden barrels) prior to release.

The Enrico Serafino winery was founded as a wine business in 1878 in the small town of Canale in Piedmont, right in the town centre. The winery has now been in operation continuously in its original location for more than 140 years. 

Thierry Laffay 'Vaudesir' 1998 Chablis Grand-Cru 4x75cl

Chardonnay from the iconic Grand Cru hilltop vineyard of Vaudésir in the iconic Burgundian appellation of Chablis; Matured for 10-14 months in 80%, partially new oak barrels and 20% Stainless steel vats. 

Chablis is located in northern Burgundy and is one of the most well-known wine regions in France producing world renowned cool-climate Chardonnay. Compared to other Burgundian Chardonnays, Chablis wines typically have little or no oak influence- though many of the Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines receive some maturation in oak barrels.

Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port is a specific style of Ruby Port in which the fortified wine - from a single, specified vintage - is aged for an extended period of time before bottling. Unlike Vintage Ports, LBV Ports do not continue to mature in the bottle.
