Domaine du Vieux Telegraphe Telegramme 2002 Chateauneuf-du-Pape 2x75cl

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations. Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines with Syrah and Mourvèdre lead the cast of supporting grapes. White wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

The vineyards of Domaine Du Vieux Telegraphe are located on the celebrated plateau, La Crau, where vines have an average age of sixty years. Vieux Télégraphe has been owned by the Brunier family since 1891 and is one of the most renowned estates in the Southern Rhône Valley.

This is the second label for Vieux Telegraphe and is known as “Telegramme”.

Two sweet white wines from the Grand-Cru vineyard of Vorbourg within the eastern French wine-region of Alsace.

The renowned Alsace wine region located in Eastern France, is home to aromatic white wines made from Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Sylvaner, Muscat d'Alsace and Pinot Gris. A small amount of red wine is also produced in the region, mostly from Pinot Noir grapes. The wines are permitted to be made in a dry or sweet style. The history of Alsace, flitting between French and German ownership for centuries, imparts itself within the region's wines - a cacophony of grapes native to both countries, ennobled and respected individually.

Dugat-Py 2019 Bourgogne

Pinot Noir from the regional appellation of Bourgogne (aka Burgundy): aged for 12-18 months in 10% new oak casks. 

The Dugat-Py estate cultivates 15 hecatres composed of 6 Grands Crus, 12 1er-Cru and different village and regional appellations.

Domaine Rollin 2007 Pernand-Vergelesses 2x75cl

Burgundian Pinot Noir from the appellation of Pernand-Vergelesses, within the Côte-de-Beaune: aged for 12 months in oak barrels.

Assorted Sauternes 1er-Cru 2x37.5cl

The wines of Sauternes are produced from a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and occasionally a small amount of Muscadelle, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine.

Dow's 1985 Vintage Port

Vintage Port is produced only in the most exceptional deemed years from a single harvest. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2-3 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades. The decision to declare a vintage is made by the individual Port house. 

One of the great houses of Port- the name Dow has been associated with quality Port wine from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley for over two centuries.

Au Bon Climat 'Bien Nacido' Vineyard 2014 Santa Maria Valley / Historic Vineyards Collection

The renowned 900 acre Bien Nacido vineyard was first planted in 1973 and is primary vineyard source for Au Bon Climat wines.

The 459 acre Los Alamo vineyard is located 20 miles from the Pacific Ocean and is planted with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Domaine A.-F. Gros 2016 Hautes-Côtes de Nuits

Pinot Noir from the high slopes of the Burgundian sub-regional appellation Hautes-Côtes de Nuits.

The great Domaine Jean Gros was divided between Jean's three children upon his retirement and the new Domaines: Anne-Françoise's Gros (A.-F. Gros), Domaine Michel Gros and Domaine Gros Frère & Soeur, were created.

Domaine Gérard Thomas 'Les Frionnes' Saint-Aubin 2016 1er-Cru

Chardonnay from the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Frionnes in the Burgundian appellation of Saint-Aubin, within the subregion of Côte-de-Beaune.

d'Arenberg 'Ironstone Pressings' Grenache-Shiraz 1996 McLaren Vale

A Grenache (65%) and Shiraz blend from the McLaren Vale region of South Australia; matured in a combination of new and used French Oak barriques.

d'Arenberg is a renowned name of the McLaren Vale. Since 1912 the Osborne family have grown grapes and made wine in McLaren Vale. Today, fourth generation family member Chester Osborn is at the helm as d'Arenberg's head winemaker who has recently converted all of the estates vineyards to organic and biodynamic-certified.

A large portion of McLaren Vale's vineyards are impregnated with ancient, decomposed laterite granite known as ironstone - this is where this wine takes it's name from. 

Domaine Pochon 1991 Crozes-Hermitage

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Crozes-Hermitage.

The red wines of Crozes-Hermitage are produced from Syrah, though small volumes of  the white grapes Marsanne and Roussanne are permitted to be blended in to soften tannins if the producer deems necessary.

D'Arenberg Dead Arm Shiraz 1999 McLaren Vale

Old-vine Shiraz from the McLaren Vale wine-region, just south of Adelaide.

d'Arenberg is a renowned name of the McLaren Vale. Since 1912 the Osborne family have grown grapes and made wine in McLaren Vale. D’Arenbergs flagship wine, Dead Arm Shiraz, takes it's name from the Dead Arm vine disease caused by the fungus Eutypa Lata. One half of the vine slowly becomes reduced to dead wood when the grapes on the other side, while low yielding, display higher intensity.

Abbazia Dell' Annunziata Ratti 1969 Barolo 3x72cl

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

Domaine Le Puits-Limonier 2016 Bordeaux 150cl

Likely to be a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, red wine from the regional appellation of Bordeaux.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Donatella Cinelli Colombini 1998 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino; Classed as a riserva this wine must have been matured for a minimum of 6 years with at least 2 years in wood and 6 months in the bottle.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years prior to release.

Sancerre is a small appellation located in the eastern part of the Loire valley famous for it's world renowned Sauvignon Blanc- although it also produces a small amount of red and rosé wine made from Pinot Noir. Almost all of the appellation lies on the left bank of the Loire, opposite Pouilly-Fumé.

Late Bottled Vintage Port (often referred to simply as LBV) is a specific style of Ruby Port in which the fortified wine - from a single, specified vintage - is aged for between four and six years in wood.  Unlike Vintage Ports, LBV Ports do not continue to mature in the bottle.

Altesino 1989 Brunello di Montalcino
