Very sweet Riesling from the single vineyard of Leiwener Klostergarten within Germany's famous Mosel wine region, which also includes the Saar and Ruwer tributaries.

Ice wine or Eiswein, is a particularly decadent style of sweet wine, in which the grapes are left of their vines for an extended period of time, well into the winter, and are only picked - by hand and in the middle of the night - after a suitable period of constant cold temperatures.  The water content within the grapes thus freezes and the grapes are carefully pressed shortly after picking to draw only the sweet sugary pulp.
