M.Chapoutier 'Les Granits' 2005 Saint-Joseph 3x75cl

Syrah from the lesser-known Northern Rhône Valley appellation of Saint-Joseph.

Maison Chapoutier is without doubt one of the oldest and most renowned names in the Rhône producing some of the finest Hermitage. Today Chapoutier is both a negociant and wine maker and are active all over the Rhone valley in every major appellation owning close to 25% of the entire appellation.

Saint-Joseph is the second-largest appellation in the Northern Rhône. The red wines must be made from a minimum of 90% Syrah, and can have up to 10% of the white wine grape Marsanne or Roussanne included- generally the wines are made from 100% Syrah.

Philipponnat 'Clos des Goisses' Brut 1992 Vintage Champagne

A 1992 Vintage Champagne from the historic and respected producer, Philipponnat. Disgorged in 2008.

Philipponnat Champagnes are dominated by Pinot Noir and typically cellar aged for approximately eight years. The Clos Des Goisses comes from a renowned walled vineyard of the same name which is the oldest and steepest clos vineyard in Champagne.

Morgan's 1963 Vintage Port

1963 vintage port from the house of Morgan Brothers LTD. Bottled 1965.

Vintage Port is produced only in the most exceptional deemed years from a single harvest. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2-3 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades. The decision to declare a vintage is made by the individual Port house.

The Napa Valley wine region is arguably California's best known wine producing area, famed for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends. It was officially recognised for its high-quality wines and distinctive regional terroir when it became California’s first American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 1981. 

Paul Jaboulet 'Les Jalets' 1999 Crozes-Hermitage 6x75cl

Syrah from the renowned Paul Jaboulet estate located in the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Crozes-Hermitage. Les Jalets is made from younger vines from the famous Thalabert vineyard.

The red wines of Crozes-Hermitage are produced from Syrah, though small volumes of  the white grapes Marsanne and Roussanne are permitted to be blended in to soften tannins if need be.

Mascarello Giuseppe & Figlio 1962 Barolo

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Narbantons within the Burgundy appellation of Savigny-Les-Beaune.

The large Premier Cru vineyard of Les Narbantons is located in the South of Savigny-Les-Beaune and is planted primarily to Pinot Noir and a very small portion of Chardonnay.

Non-vintage Champagne from renowned Champagne House, Moët & Chandon. Impérial is the House’s iconic champagne, created in 1869.

Established in 1743 by Claude Moët, the world famous Moet & Chandon continues to be one of the world's largest champagne producers and most sought-after Champagne brands in the world.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage.

Paul Jaboulet is one of the most prominent names in the Rhône and Hermitage. La Chapelle is their flagship wine, made from 100% Syrah from a blend from their top sites including the acclaimed vineyards of Les Bessards, Le Meal and Les Rocoules. The estate also produce a \"La Chapelle blanc\" which is made from 100% Marsanne grapes. 

Hermitage or Ermitage is a small but world-renowned appellation located in the Northern Rhône, responsible for some of France's most prestigious red wines made from Syrah. Though typically made with 100% Syrah, regulations allow the addition of up to 15% of the white grapes Marsanne and Roussanne to be included. White wine is also produced in Hermitage in smaller quantities.

Masi 'Costasera' 1997 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Amarone della Valpolicella is one of Italy's most iconic wines.  As with all Valpolicellas, the wine is a blend of the Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grape varieties.  

Amarone is produced through a process of partially rack-drying grapes for several months prior to fermentation, resulting in a wine of atypical power, concentration and alcohol content with an ability to benefit from long periods of maturation.

This wine is from the Classico sub-region which is deemed to produce wines of particularly esteemed quality.

Paul Jaboulet 'Les Jumelles' 1982 Côte Rôtie

Côte Rôtie is one of the most iconic appellations in the Rhône Valley. While many of the region's wines are made of 100% Syrah, the addition of up to 20% of the white wine grape Viognier is permitted to be included. Côte-Rôtie is subdivided into two areas which reference the varying soil types; Côte Brune and the Côte Blonde.

Marchesato degli Aleramici 2010 Brunello di Montalcino 2x75cl

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino; Classed as a Riserva this wine must have been matured for a minimum of 6 years with a minimum of 2 years in wood and 6 months in bottle.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy. The wine must be made from 100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years before release.

Mvemve Raats 'MR' De Compostella 2013 Stellenbosch 2x75cl

A Cabernet Franc dominant blend from South Africa's renowned Stellenbosch wine-region.

In 2002 Bruwer Raats collaborated with winemaker and lifelong friend, Mzokhona Mvemve to launch Mvemve Raats.

This 2013 vintage is made from a blend of 41% Cabernet Franc, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 17% Malbec, 14% Merlot and 9% Petit Verdot.

Moët & Chandon 2008 Grand Vintage Champagne

2008 Grand Vintage Champagne from the renowned House of Moët & Chandon. 

Established in 1743 by Claude Moët, the world famous Moet & Chandon continues to be one of the world's largest champagne producers and most sought-after Champagne brands in the world.

The wine is composed of a blend of 26% Pinot Noir, 23% Pinot Meunier and 51% Chardonnay - of which 20-30% are Reserve wines. In relation to sparkling wines, the term \"Reserve\" asserts that older (reserved) wines have been included in the multi-vintage blend.

The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piedmont, most of the estates are small and family-owned and so production is low.

Maison Sylvain Loichet 2012 Clos de Vougeot Grand-Cru

Pinot Noir from the iconic Burgundian Grand Cru walled vineyard and appellation of Clos-Vougeot within the Côte de Nuits subregion.

Clos de Vougeot, also referred to as Clos Vougeot, is a large walled vineyard established in the 11th Century by Cistercian monks of the Cîteaux Abbey. Planted with 100% Pinot Noir, it considered one of the finest grand cru vineyards in the Côte de Nuits subregion of northern Burgundy.

Mount Pleasant 'Lovedale' Cellar Aged Semillon 2018 Hunter Valley 2x75cl

Single vineyard Semillon from the Hunter Valley wine region located in New South Wales, Australia.

The Lovedale site was planted in 1946.

Montes 'Purple Angel' 2007 Colchagua Valley

Purple Angel is a renowned blend of 92% Carmenère and 8% Petit Verdot from Chile's Colchagua valley. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.

Viña Montes was founded in 1988 initially under the name Discover Wine Ltda. The grapes for Purple Angel come from Montes' own vineyards in Apalta and Marchigüe.

Carmenère is the long-lost grape variety that recently resurfaced in Chile after being presumed extinct in Bordeaux, its original home. It is considered one of Chile's ‘signature’ varieties where it is often referred to as the ‘Jurassic Park’ grape that returned from the past.

Philippe Leclerc la Combe aux Moines 2005 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er-Cru

Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru vineyard of la Combe aux Moines within the famed Burgundian appellation of Gevrey-Chambertin.

Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest wine-producing village in Burgundy's Côte d'Or. The renowned region is home to 26 Premier Cru and 9 Grand-Cru climats which can produce some of the world's most sought-after wines. The appellation is permitted to produce only red wine from Pinot Noir grapes, although regulations allow up to 15% of the white wine grapes; Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc to be blended into the red wine, however this is rarley practised. 

La Combe aux Moines is one of the most highly regarded Premier Cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin.

Marchesi di Barolo 1943 Barolo

Mas de Daumas Gassac 1983 L'Herault

Renowned Cabernet Sauvignon dominant (65-80%) red wine blended with up to 20 grape varieties including; Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Merlot, Syrah, Tannat, Petit Verdot and Carmenere: matured for 12-15 months in old oak barrels. 

From the Languedoc area of Southern France, this red wine is classified as \"Vin De Pays De L'Herault\" due to its use of grape varieties not permitted within the regional appellation's regulations.

Penfolds 'Bin 389' Cabernet-Shiraz 2018 South Australia

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz from South Australia.

First made in 1960, Bin 389 is often referred to as ‘Baby Grange’ because components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange.

Penfolds is one of Australia's great iconic wineries and has been making world renowned wines since 1844. It was established at Magill Estate in the Adelaide Hills in 1844 by Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold and his wife Mary who In the early years, produced and sold fortified wines. Today Penfolds offer a huge variety of wines ranging from entry-level to premier offerings such as their flagship \"Grange\". On its 50th birthday in 2001, Grange was listed as a South Australian heritage icon.

Pol Roger Brut Réserve NV Champagne / Special Forces Club

The famed Champagne Wine Region located in the northeast of France is renowned for producing the world's most celebrated sparkling wine. Champagne is typically made from one or a combination of the three predominant grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, although there are four other lesser-known grape varieties that are permitted to be included: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Petit Meslier and Arbane.

Pol Roger was founded in 1849 and is one of only a few Champagne houses that remains family owned and operated to this day. Pol Roger Brut is made from a Pinot Noir (60%) dominant blend with 40% Chardonnay and is aged for 8 years in the Pol Roger cellars prior to release.
