Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage.

Paul Jaboulet is one of the most prominent names in the Rhône and Hermitage. La Chapelle is their flagship wine, made from 100% Syrah from a blend from their top sites including the acclaimed vineyards of Les Bessards, Le Meal and Les Rocoules. The estate also produce a \"La Chapelle blanc\" which is made from 100% Marsanne grapes. 

Hermitage or Ermitage is a small but world-renowned appellation located in the Northern Rhône, responsible for some of France's most prestigious red wines made from Syrah. Though typically made with 100% Syrah, regulations allow the addition of up to 15% of the white grapes Marsanne and Roussanne to be included. White wine is also produced in Hermitage in smaller quantities.

This wine comes from the large single vineyard of La Morra.

Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru vineyard of la Combe aux Moines within the famed Burgundian appellation of Gevrey-Chambertin.

Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest wine-producing village in Burgundy's Côte d'Or. The renowned region is home to 26 Premier Cru and 9 Grand-Cru climats which can produce some of the world's most sought-after wines. The appellation is permitted to produce only red wine from Pinot Noir grapes, although regulations allow up to 15% of the white wine grapes; Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc to be blended into the red wine, however this is rarley practised. 

La Combe aux Moines is one of the most highly regarded Premier Cru vineyards in Gevrey-Chambertin.

It was established at Magill Estate in the Adelaide Hills in 1844 by Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold and his wife Mary who In the early years, produced and sold fortified wines. Today Penfolds offer a huge variety of wines ranging from entry-level to premier offerings such as their flagship \"Grange\". On its 50th birthday in 2001, Grange was listed as a South Australian heritage icon.

Sweet (Moelleux) Chenin Blanc from single vineyard of Clos Baudoin located in the Loire Valley appellation of Vouvray.

This wine is produced from grapes affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp for pressing.

The Vouvray wine region, located in the Loire Valley's Touraine district, is famed for its white wine made almost exclusively from the Chenin Blanc grape. Various styles: sweet, dry, still and sparkling are permitted in the region. Other than Chenin Blanc, the lesser-known and rarely seen Arbois grape is also permitted. Chenin Blanc is also known as Pineau de la Loire in Loire and Steen in South Africa.

Semi-sweet white wine blend made from Müller-Thurgau, Silvaner and Kerner grapes from the single vineyard, Schlosskapelle, by the village of Burg Layen in the Nahe region in south-western Germany.

Kabinett is the lightest style of German wine. It is made from grapes which were picked at full ripeness (but not late-harvested) and the style typically ranges from dry to off-dry with well balanced residual sweetness and acidity.

Pieroth 'Birkweiler Konigsgarten' Kerner Spatlese 1975 Pfalz 3x70cl

Semi-sweet white wine made from Kerner grapes from the Pfalz wine-region of south-western Germany.

Spätlese is the the lightest of the German late harvest wines, produced from slightly-late-harvested grapes and may be either sweet or dry. If “Trocken” is noted on the label you can assume it's a dry style.

This wine celebrates Ferinand Pieroth 1906-1976.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
