Ch. Haut-Brion 2009 Pessac-Léognan 1er Grand Cru 12x75cl

From the appellation of Pessac-Léognan (originally Graves before 1987), Château Haut-Brion is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates, listed as one of only five 1st Growth (1er-Cru) in the famed 1855 Classification of Médoc. Although Haut Brion was located in Graves (the other four are in the Médoc), the Château was recognised for the exceptional quality of its wines and has always merited its place amongst the finest wines of Bordeaux and indeed the world.

The wines of Château Haut-Brion feature varying compositions of approximately 40-50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40-60% Merlot, with Cabernet Franc; matured in oak barrels (approximately 70-80% new) for 18-22 months.

Châ​teau Petrus 1961 Pomerol

Châ​teau Petrus is undisputedly the top wine estate in the Bordeaux right-bank appellation of Pomerol and rightly lays claim to being one of the most famous estates in the world of wine.  Unofficially recognised as a \"Premier Grand Cru\" (no such classification exists in Pomerol), Petrus is considered first-among-equals with the likes of Mouton- and Lafite-Rothschild in regards to both quality and iconic stature. As there is no second wine at Pétrus, where the declassified juice ends up is one of the wine world’s great mysteries.

Petrus is small estate of just 11.4 hectares (28 acres) and produces its single-varietal wine entirely from Merlot grapes. Prior to 2010, small amounts of Cabernet Franc were used in some vintages. The wines are aged in 100% new oak barrels for an average of 20 months.

Cork shows vintage date and relevant information expected for an authentic Petrus.

Château Palmer 2002 Margaux 3eme-Cru 600cl

Located in the appellation of Margaux, Château Palmer was ranked as a 3rd-Growth (3eme-Cru) Grand Cru estate in the famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in French Oak barrels for 18-20 months.

This is a 6 litre imperial bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2007 Bolgheri 6x75cl

First released with the 1968 vintage, Sassicaia is one of Italy's greatest and most iconic wines.  A \"Super-Tuscan\" by nature of being made from grape varieties not native to Tuscany, and which pays significant homage - and competition - to Bordeaux.

The wine is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend with Cabernet Franc; Matured for 20-25 months in French Oak barriques.

Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2019 Pessac-Léognan Grand-Cru 6x75cl

Château La Mission Haut-Brion from the Pessac-Léognan appellation (originally Graves before 1987), is widely regarded as being on par with the five prestigious 1st-Growth estates as ranked in the famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc; itself ranked within the Classification of Graves 1959.

Typically a Merlot dominant blend closely followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc; aged in oak barriques (70-85% new) for 18- 20 months.

This 2019 vintage is made from a blend of; 53% Merlot, 39.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7.5% Cabernet Franc.

Louis Roederer Cristal 1996 Vintage Champagne 3x75cl

1996 vintage Champagne from Louis Roederer's prestige brand, Cristal.

Cristal is typically made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay grapes and is matured for 6 years followed by a further 8 months after disgorgement. 

Founded in 1776, the renowned Louis Roederer Champagne house is one of the last great independent and family-run Champagne houses. Cristal is their flagship cuvée, created in 1876 for emperor Alexander II, tsar of Russia.

Cullen 'Vanya' Cabernet Sauvignon 2015 Margaret River 6x75cl

Truly iconic 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from old vines on Cullen vineyard in the Margaret River wine region of Western Australia.

All of the wine was aged in oak for 5 months of which 66% were new.

Cullen Wines, established in 1971 by Diana and Kevin Cullen in Margaret River, Western Australia, pioneers sustainable viticulture, embracing biodynamic practices since the 1980s.

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend from California's renowned Napa Valley.

This 2016 vintage is made from a blend of: 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Malbec.

Syrah from the northern Rhône Valley appellation of Cornas; Matured for 18-24 months in used oak barrels followed by a further three months in foudres. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Thierry Allemand, a former electromechanical engineer began to form his small estate in the 1980s by buying abandoned plots in great areas. Nowadays, the highly regarded wines from Allemand come from the tiny estate which is still under 5 hectares (12 acres) in size.

Cornas is a French Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) in the northern Rhône wine region of France, south of Lyon. It is one of the smallest appellations in the Rhône valley and produces only red wine from the Syrah grape.

Krug 'Clos Du Mesnil' Blanc-de-Blancs Brut 1989 Vintage Champagne

1989 vintage Champagne from the iconic House of Krug. 

Clos du Mesnil is a rare Champagne from a small, single vineyard of the same name and is only produced in the very best of years. 

Krug is a Champagne house founded by Joseph Krug in 1843. It is based principally in Reims, the main city in France's Champagne region and is one of the famous Champagne houses that formed part of the Grandes marques.

Krug is part of the wider Moët Hennessy group of companies. Although no longer owned by the Krugs, the family is still heavily involved with sixth-generation Olivier Krug Director of the House today.

Blanc-De-Blancs wines are made exclusively from white grapes- most commonly 100% Chardonnay.

Le Dôme 1998 Saint-Émilion 12x75cl

In under 30 years since it's creation, Le Dôme has become something of a contemporary cult winery in a greater region more accustomed to wineries with histories and reputations dating back centuries.

Eschewing regional norms, Le Dome is made with a staggeringly high (75-80%) proportion of Cabernet Franc, with old-vine Merlot playing an unfamiliar supporting role.

These 12 bottles are presented in their original wooden case.

Il Marroneto Madonna Della Grazie 2007 Brunello di Montalcino 500cl

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino. The grapes comes from the vineyard under the Madonna delle Grazie chapel, and the wine ages in special oak casks for 41 months.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy. 100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years prior to release.

This is a 5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Cos d'Estournel 2016 Saint-Estèphe 2eme-Cru 6x75cl

From the Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Estèphe, Cos D'Estournel is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is frequently referred to as one of the leading \"Super Seconds\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

Their wine is typically a classic Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60-65%) and Merlot (35-40%), with newer vintages including small volumes of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Louis Latour 2014 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru 6x75cl

Chardonnay from the iconic Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Corton-Charlemagne within the subregion of Côte-de-Beaune, Burgundy; aged for 8-10 months in 100% new oak French oak barrels from the Louis Latour cooperage. 

The Latour family have long been established in Burgundy’s wine trade. Originally vine growers in the village of Aloxe-Corton as early as 1768, they went on to establish today’s business, Maison Louis Latour. Today they are one of the best known and largest vineyard owners of grand cru sites in Burgundy.

The average age of the Corton-Charlemagne vines is approximately 50+ years. The wines are typically aged in traditional oak barrels, new oak use varies depending on the winery.

J.F Coche-Dury 2004 Meursault

Renowned Chardonnay from the Burgundian appellation of Meursault.

The acclaimed Domaine Coche-Dury was founded in 1973 by Jean-François Coche and is famed for it's top class Chardonnay. Since 1999 the estate has been under the stewardship of Jean-François son, Raphaël.

Domaine René Engel 1997 Vosne-Romanée

Pinot Noir from the renowned Burgundian appellation of Vosne-Romanée. 

Domaine René Engel was sold in 2006 and was renamed, Domaine d’Eugenie. The last vintage under the Domaine René Engel name was released in 2004 and bottles under this old name are becoming increasingly rare and sought after.

Vieux Château Certan 2014 Pomerol 6x75cl

Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from one of the oldest wine estates in the appellation of Pomerol; Matured for approximately 20 months in 50% new French Oak barrels.

Pomerol is the only major Bordeaux appellation that is not classified, however Vieux Château Certan has long been recognised amongst the great growths of the region. The wines come from a single-block vineyard of 14 hectares (35 acres) with an average vine age of roughly 50 years.

Château Beychevelle 1989 Saint-Julien 4eme-Cru 6x75cl

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured for approximately 18 months in French Oak barrels (50% New).

Located in the appellation of Saint-Julien, the prestigious Château Beychevelle is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Beychevelle means “lower sails\" and was named in honour of Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette (Duke of Eperon) - the first owner of Beychevelle, who was also a Navy Admiral of France. Today the Chateau is owned by Grands Millésimes de France (Castel and Suntory Group).

Paul Jaboulet La Chapelle 2010 Hermitage 6x75cl

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage; Aged for an undisclosed period in 20% new oak. 

Paul Jaboulet is one of the most prominent names in the Rhône and Hermitage. La Chapelle is their flagship wine, made from 100% Syrah from a blend from their top sites including the acclaimed vineyards of Les Bessards, Le Meal and Les Rocoules. The estate also produce a \"La Chapelle blanc\" which is made from 100% Marsanne grapes.

Hermitage or Ermitage is a small but world-renowned appellation located in the Northern Rhône, responsible for some of France's most prestigious red wines made from Syrah. Though typically made with 100% Syrah, regulations allow the addition of up to 15% of the white grapes Marsanne and Roussanne to be included. White wine is also produced in Hermitage in smaller quantities.

Luce Della Vite 1998 - 2003 Tuscany 6x75cl

Sangiovese and Merlot blend from the Tuscan town of Montalcino; aged first in French oak barrels, 66% of which were new, for 12 months, and then another 6 months in Slavonian oak barrels.

The iconic \"Luce\" was the first wine ever produced in Montalcino with a blend of Merlot and Sangiovese. The idea of ​​combining Merlot and Sangiovese came in 1995 when renowned wine makers Lamberto Frescobaldi and Robert Mondavi decided to join forces and form a joint venture.
