Founded in Beaune in 1859 by Louis Henry Denis Jadot, Maison Louis Jadot is one of the most prestigious producers in all of Burgundy. Today they are largest vineyard owners in Burgundy producing a huge variety of wines from over 150 appellations.
History
Louis Jadot was founded in 1859 by Louis-Henry Jadot in Beaune, at the heart of Burgundy. From its early years, the company focused on acquiring vineyards in prestigious appellations, including its first holding in the Clos des Ursules, establishing a foundation for producing wines that reflect Burgundy’s diverse terroirs.
Throughout the 20th century, Louis Jadot expanded its vineyard holdings and built strong relationships with growers across the region. Under the guidance of successive generations and long-time winemaker André Gagey, the company maintained a commitment to traditional winemaking, emphasising the expression of individual vineyard sites.
Today, Louis Jadot is one of Burgundy’s largest and most respected producers, offering a wide portfolio from regional wines to grand cru bottlings. Combining traditional practices with modern techniques, the winery continues its focus on terroir-driven wines, sourcing from both its own vineyards and trusted growers throughout Burgundy.
