The Thracian Lowlands is a wine-producing region located in southern Bulgaria, known for its sunny and dry climate, diverse terroir, and production of high-quality red wines. The region produces a range of grape varieties - including international and indigenous varieties - and is particularly known for its reds made from the local Mavrud grape.
