Peru

On account of its broadly tropical climate, Peru has a relatively small wine industry. What exists is mainly centred in the cooler coastal regions and high-up in the Andean peaks a few miles to the west. The country produces mostly red wines made from Peruvian grape varieties such as Negra Mole and Italia, as well as international varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah.
