Downing Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon 2000 Napa Valley 3x75cl

Cabernet Sauvignon (90%) dominant Bordeaux-style blend from California's renowned Napa Valley: matured for 24 months in French and American oak. 

Established in 1998, Downing Family Vineyards is a small, family run estate located in Oakville. Production is low with limited cases being released each year. 

In Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon is King.  Widely reputed to be the new home of Cabernet Sauvignon, producing many of the grape's best wines outside of Bordeaux - and in many cases, rivalling those of Bordeaux; a bold claim for a grape that is successfully planted in so many of the world's wine regions.

Domaine Fontaine-Gagnard 'La Boudriotte' 1999 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er-Cru 3x75cl

Chardonnay from the Premier Cru vineyard of La Boudriotte in the iconic Burgundian appellation of Chassagne-Montrachet.

The small, Premier-Cru vineyard of La Boudriotte is situated within the grounds of the Morgeot Abbey and is planted with both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Château Cissac 1986 Haut-Medoc 3x75cl

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc; Aged for 18-20 months in 30-40% new French oak. 

The Cru Bourgeois estate of Château Cissac has been in the hands of the Vialard family since 1895 and is currently run by the 5th generation. The family also owns the neighbouring estate of Chateau du Breuil.

Burgundian Pinot Noir from the renwoned Premier Cru vineyard of Ile Des Vergelesses in the appellation of Pernand-Vergelesses, within the Côte-de-Beaune; 12 months in 45% new French oak barrels. 

Château Clerc Milon 2010 Pauillac 5eme-Cru

Château Clerc-Milon is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc. Located between the renowned Chateaux Lafite-Rothschild and Mouton-Rothschild, Château Clerc Milon was purchased by the Rothschild (Mouton) family in 1970. Prior to 1970, it was known as Château Clerc-Milon Mondon.

The wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in oak barrels for 16 to 18 months.

This 2010 vintage is made from a blend of 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenère.

Château Beychevelle 2007 Saint-Julien 4eme-Cru

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured for approximately 18 months in French Oak barrels (50% New).

Located in the appellation of Saint-Julien, the prestigious Château Beychevelle is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Beychevelle means “lower sails\" and was named in honour of Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette (Duke of Eperon) - the first owner of Beychevelle, who was also a Navy Admiral of France. Today the Chateau is owned by Grands Millésimes de France (Castel and Suntory Group).

Clouds Rest Pinot Noir 2005 Sonoma Coast 3x75cl

A limited release Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast AVA in Sonoma County, California.

Clouds Rest Pinot Noirs are aged for approximately 18 months in 50% new French oak and bottle aged an additional 18 months to 3 years prior to release.

Château de Lamarque is located on the left bank of the Gironde. The property is nearly 1000 years old and can trace it's history back to when Garison de Lamarque built the original fortified castle in the 11th centuary.

From the Bordeaux left-bank appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Gruaud-Larose is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc.

The wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured for 16-18 months in oak barrels. New oak use has increased from around 30% in the 1990s to around 90% in the 2000s. 

This is a bottling by the historic French négociants, Cordier.

Domaine Ramonet 'Morgeot' 1992 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er-Cru

Mature Chardonnay from the large Premier Cru vineyard of Morgeot in the iconic Burgundian appellation of Chassagne-Montrachet.

Domaine Ramonet was founded in the 1920s by Pierre Ramonet and has become a prominent producer of wines from several Burgundy appellations. 

Domaine d'En Ségur Syrah-Duras 2016 Côtes du Tarn 8x75cl

A red wine blend of Syrah and Duras grapes from the regional IGP of Côtes Du Tarn in the south-west of France.

Côtes du Tarn belongs to the large regional IGP area of Comté Tolosan. Red wines made from the Gamay grape account for the majority of production, although a variety of other grapes are also permitted including: Duras, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Syrah and Malbec. White and rosé wines may also be produced in the region.

CrauforD 'Tattoo' Maroon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2002 Napa Valley 2x75cl

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from California's renowned Napa Valley: matured for 24 months in French oak barrels. 

Tattoo is made from organically grown grapes from the Eastern facing Maroon Vineyard at 1700 ft atop Spring Mountain above St. Helena. Limited quantities, around 200 cases, are produced each year.

Château Clerc Milon 2009 Pauillac 5eme-Cru

Château Clerc-Milon is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc. Located between the renowned Chateaux Lafite-Rothschild and Mouton-Rothschild, Château Clerc Milon was purchased by the Rothschild (Mouton) family in 1970. This 2009 vintage is made from a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 44% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 1% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenère.

Clos Fourtet 2012 Saint-Émilion 1er-Grand Cru

Classic Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from Clos Fourtet, ranked Premier Grand Cru Classe \"B\" in Classification of Saint-Émilion: matured for 14-18 months in 60-80% new oak barrels.

Saint-Émilion is located in the Libournais district of Bordeaux's Right Bank. Merlot is the primary grape variety used in the wines blended with Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon. Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Malbec are also permitted but rarely used. 

There is a fairly complicated classification system for the appellation which includes; Premier Grand Cru Classé A, Premier Grand Cru Classé B and Grand Cru Classé. Saint-Émilion Grand Cru may also be noted on labels but without the word \"Classé\", this means the wine is not part of this classification system. In recent years some top producers in the area have voluntarily withdrawn for the classification system.

Château Gruaud-Larose 1967 St-Julien 2eme-Cru / Cordier

From the Bordeaux left-bank appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Gruaud-Larose is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc.

The wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured for 16-18 months in oak barrels. New oak use has increased from around 30% in the 1990s to around 90% in the 2000s. 

This is a bottling by the historic French négociants, Cordier. 

Château Climens 1970 Barsac 1er-Cru

Château Climens was ranked as a First Growth Premier Cru (1er-Cru) in Bordeaux' famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wines of Sauternes and Barsac are produced from a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and occasionally a small amount of Muscadelle, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine.

Château-Fortia 2000 Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2x75cl

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines with Syrah and Mourvèdre lead the cast of supporting grapes. White wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

Domaine des Baumard 'Clos du Papillon' 1989 Savennières

Chenin Blanc from the vineyards of Clos du Papillon, in the distinct Loire Valley appellation of Savennières, France. 

Though sweeter styles are permitted, Savennières typically produces dry white wines with the Chenin blanc grape from vineyards situated on the north bank of the river Loire.

Château Brown 2016 Pessac-Léognan Blanc 3x75cl

A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon from the southern Bordeaux appellation of Pessac-Léognan.

Château Brown's Pessac-Léognan Blanc is made from a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc with 40% Sémillon which is aged for 8 months in 50% new oak barrels. 15000-  20000 bottles are produced each year.

Old vine Shiraz from South Australia's famed Barossa valley: matured for 24 months in French oak. 

Barossa Valley is amongst Australia's oldest and most renowned wine regions. The internationally recognised region has a Mediterranean climate and is synonymous with Australia's signature grape, Shiraz. The area also boasts some of the world's oldest continually producing Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling vines. Other prominent grapes of the region include, Semillon, Viognier and Mouvedre.

Château Léoville-Barton 1976 Saint Julien 2eme-Cru / Anthony Barton

Château Leoville-Barton is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate which lies within the iconic terroir of Saint Julien in the Médoc. It is now one of only two chateau's from the 1855 Classification of the Medoc that remains in the hands of the same family that owned it at the time it was classified.

This wine is a typical Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon dominance (70-87%) with Merlot and Cabernet Franc; matured in a combination of new and used oak barrels for a period of 16-18 months.

Domaine Rostaing 'Ampodium' 2012 Côte Rôtie

Côte Rôtie is one of the most iconic appellations in the Rhône Valley. While many of the region's wines are made of 100% Syrah, up to 20% of the white wine grape Viognier is permitted to be added to the wine.

Syrah from the northern Rhône Valley appellation of Cornas: matured for 12-14 months in oak barrels

Cornas is a French Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (AOC) in the northern Rhône wine region of France, south of Lyon. It is one of the smallest appellations in the Rhône valley and is permitted to produce only red wine made from 100% Syrah grapes. 

Domaine Michelot 1997 Meursault-Charmes 1er-Cru 2x75cl

Chardonnay from the Premier-Cru climat of Charmes within Burgundian appellation of Meursault.

Located in the in the Côte de Beaune sub-region, Meursault is considered to be the capital of Burgundy's great white wines. The appellation almost exclusively produces white wine made from Chardonnay, however a small amount red wine made from Pinot Noir can be found from the area.
