Cabernet Sauvignon (90%) dominant Bordeaux-style blend from California's renowned Napa Valley: matured for 24 months in French and American oak. 

Established in 1998, Downing Family Vineyards is a small, family run estate located in Oakville. Production is low with limited cases being released each year. 

In Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon is King.  Widely reputed to be the new home of Cabernet Sauvignon, producing many of the grape's best wines outside of Bordeaux - and in many cases, rivalling those of Bordeaux; a bold claim for a grape that is successfully planted in so many of the world's wine regions.

Château Clerc-Milon is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc. Located between the renowned Chateaux Lafite-Rothschild and Mouton-Rothschild, Château Clerc Milon was purchased by the Rothschild (Mouton) family in 1970. Prior to 1970, it was known as Château Clerc-Milon Mondon.

The wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in oak barrels for 16 to 18 months.

This 2010 vintage is made from a blend of 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Carmenère.

Located in the appellation of Saint-Julien, the prestigious Château Beychevelle is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Beychevelle means “lower sails\" and was named in honour of Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette (Duke of Eperon) - the first owner of Beychevelle, who was also a Navy Admiral of France. Today the Chateau is owned by Grands Millésimes de France (Castel and Suntory Group).

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from California's renowned Napa Valley: matured for 24 months in French oak barrels. 

Tattoo is made from organically grown grapes from the Eastern facing Maroon Vineyard at 1700 ft atop Spring Mountain above St. Helena. Limited quantities, around 200 cases, are produced each year.

Clos Fourtet 2012 Saint-Émilion 1er-Grand Cru

Classic Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from Clos Fourtet, ranked Premier Grand Cru Classe \"B\" in Classification of Saint-Émilion: matured for 14-18 months in 60-80% new oak barrels.

Saint-Émilion is located in the Libournais district of Bordeaux's Right Bank. Merlot is the primary grape variety used in the wines blended with Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon. Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Malbec are also permitted but rarely used. 

There is a fairly complicated classification system for the appellation which includes; Premier Grand Cru Classé A, Premier Grand Cru Classé B and Grand Cru Classé. Saint-Émilion Grand Cru may also be noted on labels but without the word \"Classé\", this means the wine is not part of this classification system. In recent years some top producers in the area have voluntarily withdrawn for the classification system.

Château Climens 1970 Barsac 1er-Cru

Château Climens was ranked as a First Growth Premier Cru (1er-Cru) in Bordeaux' famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wines of Sauternes and Barsac are produced from a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and occasionally a small amount of Muscadelle, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
