Vega Sicilia 'Unico' 1965 Ribera del Duero

Unico is made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Tinto Fino (aka Tempranillo) from the Ribera Del Duero region in northwest Spain; matured in a combination of new and used oak barrels and in bottle for approximately 10 years - long exceeding the minimum requirements for the Gran Reserva classification.

This 1965 vintage also included Malbec which is no longer used in Unico. 

Vega Sicilia is one of Spain's most renowned wineries, responsible for three iconic wines: \"Unico\" Gran Reserva, \"Unico\" Reserva Especial and \"Valbuena\".

Marchesi di Barolo 1949/1951 2x73cl

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

Marchesi di Barolo was founded over two century's ago and is one of Italy's most iconic and historic wine estates. It was acquired in 1929 by winemaker Pietro Abbona and is today still owned by the Abbona Family.

Marqués De Murrieta 'Castillo Ygay' 2005 Rioja Gran Reserva Especial 150cl

Tempranillo dominant blend from the iconic Marques De Murrieta in the Rioja region of northern Spain. Castillo Ygay is the estate's flagship wine; Matured in American Oak barriques for a minimum 24 months required to classify as Gran Reserva.

Marqués de Murrieta is the oldest family winery based in Rioja, concentrating exclusively on the production of premium Reserva and Gran Reserva wines since 1852.

Castillo Ygay is made each year from grapes sourced from the 40 hectare, single vineyard of La Plana, planted in 1950 at 485 metres above sea level. The Gran Reserva Especial is the estated flagship wine considered a benchmark in Rioja.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Master & Cochrane 1812 'Reserve Solera' Baro Fino Sherry

A mature medium-dry sherry drawn from a solera system established in 1812.

Fino sherry is a very crisp and dry style, \"biologically\" aged under a crust of yeast for a distinctively tangy taste. All Sherry is made from three traditional white wine grapes only. The Palomino grape is the most commonly used along with Moscatel and Pedro Ximenez.

Vincent  Frères 1970 Echezeaux Grand-Cru 2x75cl

Famed Burgundian Pinot Noir the Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Echézeaux.

Created in 1937, the Echézeaux Grand Cru appellation is located in the Côtes de Nuits between Clos de Vougeot, Chambolle Musigny and Vosne-Romanée with approximately 80 vineyard owners. Only red wines made from the Pinot Noir grape are permitted.

Moillard-Grivot 2018 Pommard 6x75cl

Pinot Noir from the Burgundian appellation of Pommard. Moillard-Grivot ages their red wines in oak barrels for 8-16 months.

Founded in 1848 with the marriage of Symphorien Moillard and Marguerite Grivot- the owner of the former estate, Moillard-Grivot is today a négociant based in Nuits-Saint-Georges.

M. Ant. de la Riva 'Tres Cortados' Sherry circa 1940s 4x37.5cl

Sherry from the now lost Bodega of M. Ant. De La Riva (Manuel Antonio de la Riva). 

Manuel Antonio de la Riva was an important pioneer for the reputation of Jerez. The De la Riva brand was revived by winemakers Ramiro Ibáñez and Willy Pérez in 2017.

Sherry is exclusively produced in the region of Jerez, Spain. It is made from three traditional white wine grapes only. The Palomino grape is the most commonly used along with Moscatel and Pedro Ximenez.

Maison Leroy 1993 Bourgogne

Pinot Noir from the regional appellation of Bourgogne (aka Burgundy). From négociant, Leroy.

Founded by François Leroy in 1868 in the village of Auxey-Duresses, Leroy is both a négociant house and a Domaine. The Domaine (established in 1988) bottles have red capsules while Maison Leroy wines have white capsules.

Villa Cafaggio 'Cortaccio' 1997 Toscana 6x75cl

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Italian region of Toscana (Tuscany).

Villa Cafaggio is a historic estate located in the hamlet of Greve in Chianti, in Panzano. The estate covers approximately 60 hectares, 30 of which are vineyards and around 3 hectares as olive groves.

Veuve Clicquot 'La Grande Dame' Brut 2012 Vintage Champagne / Yayoi Kusama

A limited edition 2012 Vintage Champagne from the famed House of Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, made in collaboration with iconic Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama. The label and box featuring her signature polka dot and floral motifs.

Created in tribute to Madame Clicquot, La Grande Dame is only developed in great vintages. This cuvee consists of eight Grands Crus, which are amongst the most prestigious in the Champagne region.

Founded in 1772 and based in Reims, Veuve is one of the largest and most renowned Champagne houses in the world. The company was purchased in 1986 by Louis Vuitton (now part of the LVMH group formed in 1987).

M.Chapoutier 'L'Ermite' 2019 Ermitage Rouge 

Old vine 100% Syrah from the iconic northern Rhone valley appellation of Hermitage; matured for 18-20 months in new and one-year old casks. 

Maison Chapoutier is without doubt one of the oldest and most renowned names in the Rhône producing some of the finest Hermitage. Today Chapoutier is both a negociant and wine maker and are active all over the Rhone valley in every major appellation owning close to 25% of the entire appellation.

Villa Cafaggio 1999 Chianti Classico Riserva 6x75cl

Sangiovese dominant blend from the iconic wine-region of Chianti in the heart of Tuscany. Classed as a Chianti Classico Riserva, this wine must have been aged for a minimum of 24 months including 3 months of bottle ageing.

Chianti Classico wines must contain a minimum of 80% of Sangiovese. The remainder can be made from native grapes such as Canaiolo or Colorino, as well as international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Wines made only from Sangiovese have been permitted since 1996.

Mongeard-Mugneret 1990 Vosne-Romanée

Pinot Noir from the Burgundian appellation of Vosne-Romanée. 

The renowned Vosne-Romanée appellation is located in Burgundy's Côte de Nuits and famed for it's high quality wines made from Pinot Noir. Though most wines produced are 100% Pinot Noir, regulations allow for the addition of up to 15% of the white wine grapes Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris to be included, however this is rarely utilised by producers. Originally called Vosne until 1866 when Romanée was added paying homage to it's most famed vineyard- La Romanée. The area is also home to other prized Premier and Grand Cru vineyards: Romanée-Conti, La Grand Rue, La Tâche, Richebourg and Romanée-Saint-Vivant.

Marqués de Murrieta 'Selección Especial' Tempranillo 2000 Rioja 10x75cl

Old vine Tempranillo from the iconic Marqués De Murrieta in the Rioja region of northern Spain.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja.

1997 vintage Champagne from the renowned House of Vilmaert et Cie.

Vilmart produce their Champagne from 11 hectares of their Premier Cru vineyard located in the Rilly-la-Montagne terroir.

The famed Champagne Wine Region located in the northeast of France is renowned for producing the world's most celebrated sparkling wine. Champagne is typically made from one or a combination of the three predominant grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, although there are four other lesser-known grape varieties that are permitted to be included: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Petit Meslier and Arbane.

Mascarello 'Podere Rocchette' 1964 Barolo Riserva Speciale 2x72cl

Maison Roche de Bellene 2010 Clos de la Roche Grand-Cru

Pinot Noir from the Burgundian Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Clos De La Roche within Morey-Saint-Denis: matured for 50% new French oak barreks and bottled in 2012.

This wine comes from vines aged 45 to 56 years as of this vintage year. Clos de la Roche is the most northerly of Morey-Saint-Denis' four grand cru vineyards.

Masi 'Mazzano' 2009 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Amarone della Valpolicella is one of Italy's most iconic wines.  As with all Valpolicellas, the wine is a blend of the Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grape varieties.  Mazzano is produced from grapes from a vineyard of the same name

Amarone is produced through a process of partially rack-drying grapes for several months prior to fermentation, resulting in a wine of atypical power, concentration and alcohol content with an ability to benefit from long periods of maturation.

This wine is from the Classico sub-region which is deemed to produce wines of particularly esteemed quality.

Miguel Torres 'Cordillera' 2000 Curicó 6x75cl

Old-vine Cariñena dominant blend from the Curico Valley region of central Chile.

This 2000 vintage is made from a  blend of 65% Cariñena, 20% Merlot and 15% Syrah: matured for 9 months in new French oak barriques.

Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru vineyard of Les Narbantons within the Burgundy appellation of Savigny-Les-Beaune.

The large Premier Cru vineyard of Les Narbantons is located in the South of Savigny-Les-Beaune and is planted primarily to Pinot Noir and a very small portion of Chardonnay.

Mario Perelli-Minetti 'Miriam' Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon 1999 Napa Valley 2x75cl

100% Cabernet Sauvignon from California's renowned Napa Valley: matured for 2.5 years in new French oak barrels. 

The Mario Perelli-Minetti estate is a small operation, producing approximately 5,000 cases a year. The family has been involved in wine since 1912 with the Mario Perelli-Minetti Vineyard being established in the 1970s.

In Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon is King.  Widely reputed to be the new home of Cabernet Sauvignon, producing many of the grape's best wines outside of Bordeaux - and in many cases, rivalling those of Bordeaux; a bold claim for a grape that is successfully planted in so many of the world's wine regions.
