Weingut Heinz Karl 'Kestener-Paulinsberg' Riesling Spätlese 1992 Mosel

Riesling from the single vineyard, Paulinsberg, by the village of Kesten in Germany's famous Mosel wine region, which also includes the Saar and Ruwer tributaries.

Spätlese is the the lightest of the German late harvest wines, produced from slightly-late-harvested grapes and  may be either sweet or dry. If “Trocken” is noted on the label you can assume it's a dry style.

José Maria da Fonseca 1988 Moscatel de Setúbal

A very mature sweet, fortified dessert wine from Portugal's Setúbal peninsula located just south of Lisbon; primiparity made from the white wine grape Muscat blended with the Boal and Malvasia grape varieties and matured in used oak until bottling. 

Weingut Zender-Gohlen 'Wittlicher Rosenberg' Riesling Auslese 1990 Mosel 50cl

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard of Rosenberg located in the town of Wittlicher within Germany's famous Mosel wine region, which also includes the Saar and Ruwer tributaries.

Auslese is a term used for a semi-sweet or sweet style of German wine, made from individually-selected bunches of very ripe grapes based on their ripeness level and sugar content, some of which have may have been affected by noble rot. The wines can also ben made and labelled as Auslese Trocken, which indicates a dry style. 

James Irvine Grand Merlot 1987 Eden Valley

Merlot from Australia's Eden Valley, located just north of Adelaide.

Grand Merlot is the flagship wine of the James Irvine estate, typically matured for around 2 years in oak barrels prior to release.

J. Boulard 'Le Patrimoine' Reserve 2008 Côtes-du-Rhône Villages

A blend of Grenache dominance with Syrah and Mourvedre from the southern Rhône Valley regional appellation of Côtes du Rhône Villages: aged in French oak barrels for 9 months.
