Les Forts de Latour 1982 Pauillac 6x75cl

Les Forts de Latour is the second wine from the famed 1st-Growth (1er-Cru) Pauillac estate, Chateau Latour.

Many people do not consider it to be a \"second\" wine, but rather a wine in its own right, with the level of a fifth or even fourth cru classé.

Compared to the \"Grand Vin\", Les Forts de Latour features a higher proportion of Merlot (25-30%) in the Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend, and is matured in a lower proportion of new oak barrels (50-60%).

Leroy 2018 Bourgogne Blanc 6x75cl

Chardonnay from the regional appellation of Bourgogne (Burgundy).

Founded by François Leroy in 1868 in the village of Auxey-Duresses, Leroy is both a négociant house and a Domaine. The Domaine (established in 1988) bottles have red capsules while Maison Leroy wines have white capsules.

L.A Montoy 1903 Beaune-Les-Avaux 1er-Cru

An incredibly old 1903 vintage Pinot Noir from the Premier-Cru vineyard of  Les Avaux, within the Burgundian appellation of Beaune.

Henschke 'Hill Of Grace' 1995 Eden Valley

Iconic single-vineyard, seriously old-vine (100+ years) Shiraz from Australia's Eden Valley, located just north of Adelaide.

The first Hill of Grace Shiraz was created in 1958 from the pre-phylloxera vines at the Hill of Grace vineyard which was planted around 1860. The wine is typically matured for 18-21 months in new French and American hogsheads. 

1868 marked the first recorded sale of Henschke wine. The historic estate has been family-owned for over 156 years with the sixth generation currently at the helm.

La Rioja Alta '890' 1970 Rioja Reserva 4x75cl

Tempranillo dominant red wine from the Rioja region in northern Spain; Classified as a Reserva, this wine was matured for a minimum period of 12 months in oak barrels.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja. 

Established in 1890, La Rioja Alta continues to be one of the benchmarks for traditionally produced Rioja wine today.

Le Potazzine 2014 Brunello di Montalcino 6x75cl

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy. The wine must be made from 100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years before release.

Louis Latour 2007 Batard-Montrachet Grand-Cru 2x75cl

Chardonnay from the iconic Grand Cru Burgundian vineyard and appellation of Batard-Montrachet, within the subregion of Côte-de-Beaune.

Le Macchiole 'Messorio' 2003 Bolgheri 2x75cl

Messorio was first released with the 1994 vintage and is made from 100% Merlot from the Bolgheri wine region of Tuscany. It is aged for 14-20 months in 70-100% new French oak barrels.

Louis Roederer Cristal 2002 Vintage Champagne

2002 vintage Champagne from Louis Roederer's prestige brand, Cristal.

Cristal is typically made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay grapes and is matured for 6 years followed by a further 8 months after disgorgement. 

Founded in 1776, the renowned Louis Roederer Champagne house is one of the last great independent and family-run Champagne houses. Cristal is their flagship cuvée, created in 1876 for emperor Alexander II, tsar of Russia.

Ruinart 'Blanc-de-Blancs' Brut 1988 Vintage Champagne

1988 vintage Champagne from the renowned House of Ruinart.

Dom Ruinart is a prestigious and highly acclaimed Champagne producer. It is the oldest established Champagne house, founded in 1729. This Champagne is crafted primarily from Chardonnay grapes sourced from Grand Cru vineyards in the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims, ensuring the finest expression of the terroir. 

Blanc-de-Blancs wines are made exclusively from white grapes- nearly always made from 100% Chardonnay grapes.

Le Petit Cheval 1991 St-Emilion

Le Petit Cheval is the 2nd wine from Château Cheval Blanc, a classified Premier Grand Cru Classé \"A\" and rightly considered an equal to the First Growth wines of the Medoc, Château Cheval Blanc is undisputedly the top wine estate in the appellation of Saint-Emilion. In 2021 Château Cheval Blanc voluntary withdrew from the official Saint-Émilion classification system as they did not agree with the new classification specifications

A Cabernet Franc dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured for 12 months in 100% new oak barrels. 

Rathfinny 'Traditional Method' Blanc-de-Blancs 2018 English Sparkling 11x75cl

From the Rathfinny estate located in the English county of Sussex, this 2018 vintage sparkling wine has been made in the style - and same, traditional process- of Champagne, from France. Disgorged in 2022.

Of all non-Champagne sparkling wines, many of those produced in the south of England come closest in terms of style and quality.  With similarities in soils and climates, grape varieties (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) which grow well, and method of production, it is natural that flavour will follow also.

Blanc-de-Blancs wines are made exclusively from white grapes- most commonly 100% Chardonnay.

Ratti 'Abbazia Dell' annunziata' 1965 Barolo 3x72cl

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low

Rathfinny 'Traditional Method' Blanc-de-Blancs 2018 English Sparkling 11x75cl

From the Rathfinny estate located in the English county of Sussex, this 2018 vintage sparkling wine has been made in the style - and same, traditional process- of Champagne, from France. Disgorged in 2022.

Of all non-Champagne sparkling wines, many of those produced in the south of England come closest in terms of style and quality.  With similarities in soils and climates, grape varieties (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) which grow well, and method of production, it is natural that flavour will follow also.

R. Lopez de Heredia Viña Tondonia 'Viña Gravonia' 1990 Rioja Blanco

100% Viura (aka Macabeo) from the northern Spanish DOC of Rioja; matured in oak barrels for approximately 4 years.

Established by Don Rafael López de Heredia in 1877, R. López de Heredia is one of the most well known and respected wineries in Rioja today. An interesting note- when the term \"Reserva\" was defined in the 1970s, the owner of Viña Tondonia, Don Pedro López Heredia, objected on the grounds that the new terms were too lenient - even his most basic wine far exceeding the \"Gran Reserva\" requirements - and so refused to use the new classifications on his labels.

Les Pagodes de Cos 2016 Saint-Estèphe 2x75cl

Le Pagodes de Cos is the second wine of Cos d'Estournel in the Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Estèphe. Cos d'Estournel is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is frequently referred to as one of the leading \"Super Seconds\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

The wine is made from a fairly even blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from the left-bank appellation of Saint-Estèphe.

R. López de Heredia 'Tondonia' 1970 Rioja 2x75cl

Tempranillo dominant red wine from the famed Rioja region in northern Spain.

Established by Don Rafael López de Heredia in 1877, R. López de Heredia (Viña Tondonia) is one of the most well known and respected wineries in Rioja today. It is the oldest winery in the emblematic town of Haro and one of the first three set up in La Rioja. It continues to be a family run estate with the fourth generation now running the business. 

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines with Syrah and Mourvèdre lead the cast of supporting grapes. White wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

The family estate of Roger Sabon was founded in 1952. Cuvée Réserve is made from a blend of 80% Grenache with 10% Syrah and Mourvèdre and aged for 18 months in large oak casks or oak vats.

R. López de Heredia Viña Tondonia 6 Ano Rioja Blanco

A white wine blend of Viura dominance from the northern Spanish DOC of Rioja. Labelled, as was the custom at the time, according to how many years following harvest the wine has been released \"6° Año\".

Domaine Remoissenet Père & Fils 'Les Marconnets' 1993 Beaune 1er-Cru 150cl

Pinot Noir from the Premier Cru vineyard of \"Les Marconnets\" within the Burgundian sub-regional appellation of AOP Beaune; Matured for 18 months in 1/3 new oak. 

From historic Burgundian négociants Remoissenet Père & Fils.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Rockford 'Local Growers' Sémillon 2021 Barossa Valley 6x75cl

100% Sémillon from the Barossa Valley just north of Adelaide, Australia; Matured for 24 months in French and American oak barrels.

Barossa Valley is amongst Australia's oldest and most renowned wine regions. The internationally recognised region has a Mediterranean climate and is synonymous with Australia's signature grape, Shiraz. The area also boasts some of the world's oldest continually producing Shiraz, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon and Riesling vines. Other prominent grapes of the region include, Semillon, Viognier and Mouvedre.

Ridge 'Benito Dusi Ranch' Zinfandel 2018 Paso Robles

Single vineyard 100% Zinfandel from the Paso Robles region of California.

An iconic name in Californian wine making, Ridge vineyards only began in the 1960's, however, wine has been produced at the site under the name 'Monte Bello Winery' since 1885. Renowned for producing world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel and Chardonnay, their Bordeaux-style blends are considered rivals to these from the great Bordeaux Chateaux. 

L'If 2013 Saint-Émilion

A classic Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from the appellation of Saint-Émilion: aged for 12-16 months in 50% new oak barrels. 

Saint-Émilion is located in the Libournais district of Bordeaux's Right Bank. Merlot is the primary grape variety used in the wines blended with Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon. Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Malbec are also permitted but rarely used.

Le Clos du Caillou 'Reserve' 2004 Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2x75cl

Châteauneuf-du-Pape is one of France's iconic appellations.  Located in the Southern Rhône Valley, the appellation is most commonly known for its Grenache-dominant red wines with Syrah and Mourvèdre lead the cast of supporting grapes. White wines are also produced in exceedingly smaller volumes.

H. Weinz Armsheim 'Armsheimer Adelberg' Trockenbeerenauslese 1976 Rheinhessen

Very sweet white wine likely made from a Silvaner domiannt blend from Germany's Rheinhessen wine-region, located south of Frankfurt.

Trockenbeerenauslese, or TBA for short, translates to \"dry berry selection\". These rare wines are made from hand-picked individually selected fully ripe or overripe grapes, which the best are infested by noble rot. It is the absolute sweetest style of German wine and an utterly rare delight.

La Croix de Beaucaillou 2003 Saint-Julien 2x75cl

From the appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and frequently regarded as one of the leading \"Super Seconds\".

La Croix De Beaucaillou is the estate's second wine, composed of almost-equal proportions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot; matured for approximately 12 months in around 60% new oak barrels.

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is one oldest estates in the Medoc dating back to the 13th century. The 75-hectare vineyard has an average vine age of 35 years, however, Ducru-Beaucaillou also has old vines. Their oldest plot is the Les Sadons parcel was planted all the way back in 1918
