Labouré-Roi 1995 Gevrey-Chambertin

Pinot Noir from the Burgundian appellation of Gevrey-Chambertin.

Gevrey-Chambertin is the largest wine-producing village in Burgundy's Côte d'Or. The renowned region is home to 26 Premier Cru and 9 Grand-Cru climats which can produce some of the world's most sought-after wines. The appellation is permitted to produce only red wine from Pinot Noir grapes, although regulations allow up to 15% of the white wine grapes; Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc to be blended into the red wine, however this is rarley practised. 

From the renowned Burgundian négociant house of Labouré-Roi, founded in 1832.

Château Rieussec 1999 Sauternes 1er-Cru 3x37.5cl

Once belonging to the Carmelite monks in Langon, the renowned Château Rieussec is now owned by Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite), since they purchased the estate in 1984. Chateau Rieussec was ranked as a First Growth Premier Cru (1er-Cru) in Bordeaux' famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wines of Sauternes are produced from a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and occasionally a small amount of Muscadelle, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the one of the worlds most sought after sweet wines.

Château Ollieux Romanis 'Atal Sia' 2010 Corbières-Boutenac 3x75cl

Atal Sia, meaning \"So be it\", is made from a blend of old vine (60-100 years) Carignan, Grenache and Mourvèdre, from the appellation of Corbières-Boutenac in the larger Languedoc-Roussillon region in the south of France.

Château Lascombes is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is often considered a \"Super Second\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend, typically with a large Merlot composition; Matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

Château Langoa Barton 1976 St-Julien 3eme-Cru

Located within the appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Langoa Barton is a 3rd Growth (3ème Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured for approximately 20 months; 50% new French Oak barrels.

Château Langoa-Barton was the first of two Bordeaux wine estates bought by Hugh Barton in the 1820s, the other being Leoville-Barton, a 2nd Classified Growth estate. Out of all the 1855 Classified Growths, it is one of the few Chateau's that is still in the hands of the same family that was the owner at the time of the classification, currently managed by Lilian Barton Satrorius.

Château Doisy Daëne 1997 Sauternes 2eme-Cru 2x75cl

From the Sauternes appellation, Château Doisy Daëne is one-third of the original estate Château Doisy which was ranked as a Second Growth Premier Cru (2eme-Cru) in Bordeaux' famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Cockburn's 1984 LBV Port

1984 Late Bottled Vintage Port from the house of Cockburn's.

Cockburn’s is one of the greatest names in Port, established by Scotsman Robert Cockburn in 1815, who returned to Portugal after first visiting the country as a soldier.

Late Bottled Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port in which the fortified wine - from a single, specified vintage - is aged for an extended period of time before bottling. Unlike Vintage Ports, LBV Ports do not continue to mature in the bottle.

Louis Latour 'En Chevret' 2014 Volnay 1er-Cru

Pinot Noir from the Premier-Cru vineyard of En Chevret located within the Burgundian appellation of Volnay.

The Latour family have long been established in Burgundy’s wine trade. They began as vine growers in the village of Aloxe-Corton as early as 1768 and went on to establish today’s business, Maison Louis Latour, in 1797. The company has been in family ownership for 11 generations and is now led by the 7th Louis Latour. Today they are the largest vineyard owners of grand cru sites in Burgundy.
 

Château Nénin 1970 Pomerol 2x75cl

Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from the appellation of Pomerol; aged in oak barrels for 12 to 18 months.

Pomerol is the smallest of the major fine wine regions in Bordeaux, covering an area that is only around three kilometers wide by 4 kilometers long. Pomerol has no formalized wine classification system (as do the Médoc, Graves, Sauternes and Saint-Émilion. Château Nenin has one of the largest vineyards in Pomerol with around 32 hectars.

A blend of around 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. 

Château de Villegeorge 1959 Haut-Médoc

An incredibly old 1959 vintage from Château de Villegeorge.

The historic Château de Villegeorge was ranked Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Exceptionnel in the 1932 classification and again in 1966.

The wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc.

Château Haut-Bages Libéral 1986 Pauillac 5eme-Cru 3x75cl

From the appellation of Pauillac, Chateau Haut-Bages-Liberal is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wine is a classic right-bank Bordeaux blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Merlot; matured for 16 months in 40% new French Oak barrels.

Château Talbot 1970 St-Julien 4eme-Cru / Berry Bros and Rudd

One of the most recognisable wine estates in Bordeaux, Château Talbot is typically a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend along with Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc; Aged for approximately 18 months in small oak barriques (50% new).

Château Talbot is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is renowned for its consistency and ageing ability.

This is a bottling by renowned London wine and spirit merchants, Berry Brothers & Rudd.

Le Clémentin de Pape Clément 2010 Pessac-Léognan 2x75cl

Located in the Bordeaux appellation of Pessac-Léognan (originally Graves before 1987), Château Pape Clément is a Grand Cru Classé estate, ranked within the 1959 Classification of Graves.

Le Clémentin de Pape Clément is the second wine of the Château made from a blend blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon: aged for 16 months in French oak barrels.

Pinot Noir from the Burgundian appellation of Nuits-Saint-Georges, within the subregion of the Côte-de-Nuits.

Les Pagodes de Cos 1998 St-Estephe

Le Pagodes de Cos is the second wine of Cos d'Estournel in the Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Estèphe. Cos d'Estournel is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is frequently referred to as one of the leading \"Super Seconds\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

The wine is made from a fairly even blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with small amounts of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from the left-bank appellation of Saint-Estèphe.

Castelgiocondo 1978 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino; Classed as a riserva this wine must have been matured for a minimum of 6 years with at least 2 years in wood and 6 months in the bottle.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years prior to release.

Château Broustet 1988 Barsac 2eme-Cru 2x75cl

Chateau Broustet was ranked as a Second Growth Premier Cru (2eme-Cru) in Bordeaux' famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wines of Sauternes and Barsac are produced from a blend of Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and occasionally a small amount of Muscadelle, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the one of the worlds most sought after sweet wines.

Château Kirwan 2003 Margaux 3eme-Cru

Château Kirwan is a 3rd Growth (3eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, located in the appellation of Margaux.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in 40-50% new French Oak barrels for 20 months.

Margaux is a famed appellation located in the Haut-Médoc district of in the Right Bank of Bordeaux, southwestern France. The wine is predominantly made from Cabernet Sauvignon either as a single varietal or blended with a select combination of other permitted grapes: Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Carmenère, Petit Verdot and Malbec.

Croft 1977 Vintage Port

1977 Vintage port from the from the house of Croft. Bottled in 1979.

Vintage Port is produced only in the most exceptional deemed years from a single harvest. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2-3 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades. The decision to declare a vintage is made by the individual Port house. 

Founded in 1588 by John Croft of Yorkshire, Croft is one of the most well known and respected of all Port houses which is still active today.

Château Cantemerle 2014 Haut-Médoc 5eme-Cru 2x75cl

From the Haut-Médoc appellation, Château Cantemerle was recognised as a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant (50-60%), left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Aged in 40-50% new French oak barrels for 12-16 months.

Louis Roederer 'Collection 242' Brut Premier NV Champagne

Collection 242 is a multi-vintage Champagne which represents the 242nd blend since the legendary producer, Louis Roederer's foundation.

The famed Champagne Wine Region located in the northeast of France is renowned for producing the world's most celebrated sparkling wine. Champagne is typically made from one or a combination of the three predominant grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, although there are four other lesser-known grape varieties that are permitted to be included: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Petit Meslier and Arbane.

Founded in 1776, the Louis Roederer Champagne house is one of the last great independent and family-run Champagne houses.

Château Batailley 2004 Pauillac 5eme-Cru

From the Pauillac appellation, Château Batailley was recognised as a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Château Batailley is one of the oldest estates in Bordeaux. In 1942 it was divided into the two separate estates that we know today; Chateau Batailley and Chateau Haut Batailley.

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in French Oak barrels (55% new) for approximately 16-18 months.

Ceretto 'Bricco Rocche' 1981 Barolo

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

Bricco Rocche is part of the Ceretto portfolio and is located in Castiglione Falletto.

Caparzo 2015 Brunello di Montalcino / 50th Anniversary

Château La Lagune 1981 Haut-Medoc 3eme-Cru

From the semi-regional appellation of Haut-Médoc, Chateau La Lagune is a 3rd Growth (3eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Médoc.

A classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in oak barrels for 15 to 18 months.

Château La Lagune was established in 1587 making one of the oldest estates in the Médoc. The Château also produces a second wine, named 'Moulin de La Lagune', and, since 2004, a third cuvée called 'Mademoiselle L'. 

Clarendon Hills \"Romas\" Grenache 2005 South Australia

Single-vineyard, old vine Grenache from the Clarendon Hills, located just north-east of McLaren Vale, to the south of Adelaide, Australia; matured fro 18 months in 1-5 year old tightly grained French Oak.

This wine comes from the Romas patch within the renowned Blewitt Springs vineyard which was planted in 1920 and the 1940's.

Col d'Orcia 2000 Brunello di Montalcino

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy. The wine must be made from 100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years before release.

Corte Giara 1991 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico

Amarone della Valpolicella is one of Italy's most iconic wines.  As with all Valpolicellas, the wine is a blend of the Corvina, Molinara and Rondinella grape varieties. 

Amarone is produced through a process of partially rack-drying grapes - to increase concentration of both natural grape flavours and sugars - for approximately 4 months before winemaking begins.  The result is a wine of atypical power, concentration and alcohol content with an ability to benefit from long periods of maturation.

This wine is from the Classico sub-region which is deemed to produce wines of particularly esteemed quality.

La Bastide Saint Vincent 2015 Gigondas 2x75cl

Grenache dominant blend from the classic Southern-Rhône appellation of Gigondas.
