Château de Villegeorge 1959 Haut-Médoc

An incredibly old 1959 vintage from Château de Villegeorge.

The historic Château de Villegeorge was ranked Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Exceptionnel in the 1932 classification and again in 1966.

The wine is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Bordeaux sub-region of Haut-Médoc.

Château Gros Caillou 1966 Saint-Émilion

A classic Merlot dominant, right-bank Bordeaux-blend from the appellation of Saint-Émilion.

Saint-Émilion is located in the Libournais district of Bordeaux's Right Bank. Merlot is the primary grape variety used in the wines blended with Cabernet Franc and/or Cabernet Sauvignon. Carmenere, Petit Verdot and Malbec are also permitted but rarely used.

Châ​teau Lascombes 1978 Margaux 2eme-Cru 2x75cl

Château Lascombes is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is often considered a \"Super Second\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend, typically with a large Merlot composition; Matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

Cossart Gordon Sercial 5 Year Old Madeira 50cl

A 5 year old Madeira produced from 100% Sercial grapes by Cossart Gordon.

Madeira is a fortified wine produced from native grapes grown exclusively on the Portuguese island of Madeira. The four major white grape varieties used for Madeira production, (from sweetest to driest) are; Malvasia, Bual, Verdelho, and Sercial, this Madeira uses Verdelho.

Domaine des Aubuisières 'Cuvée de Perruches' 2012 Vouvray 2x75cl

Chenin Blanc from the single vineyard of Le Marigny in the Loire Valley appellation of Vouvray.

The Vouvray wine region, located in the Loire Valley's Touraine district, is famed for its white wine made almost exclusively from the Chenin Blanc grape. Various styles: sweet, dry, still and sparkling are permitted in the region. Other than Chenin Blanc, the lesser-known and rarely seen Arbois grape is also permitted. Chenin Blanc is also known as Pineau de la Loire in Loire and Steen in South Africa.

Domaine de la Motte Moelleux 1990 Coteaux du Layon Rochefort-sur-Loire 6x75cl

Sweet Chenin Blanc from the parish of Rochefort-sur-Loire in the Anjou commune of the Loire Valley appellation of Coteaux Du Layon.

The wines of Coteaux du Layon are made from grapes that are very ripe, sun-dried on the vine, or affected by the \"Noble Rot\", botrytis cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the sweet wine.

Mature Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux-blend from the appellation of Moulis-en-Médoc.

Domaine Thenac Deux Moulins 'Moelleux' 1998 Cotes de Bergerac 2x75cl

Sweet (Moelleux) white wine produced in the historic Bergerac region of southwest France which is a blend of Sémillon with Sauvignon blanc, Sauvignon Gris and Muscadelle, to which Ugni Blanc, Ondenc and Chenin blanc are sometimes added.

Château la Calisse 2017 Coteaux Varois en Provence Rosé

Rosé made from Syrah and Grenache from the Côteaux Varois en Provence region located in the larger Provence region in the far south-east of France.

Château Ausone 1995 Saint-Émilion 1er-Grand-Cru 2x75cl

Châ​teau​ Ausone is an iconic estate that has held rank of Premier Grand Cru Classe \"A\" in each Classification of Saint-Émilion since the qualification's formation in 1959. In 2021 Château Ausone voluntary withdrew from the official Saint-Émilion classification system as they did not agree with the new classification specifications.

The wines are typically a blend of 50 - 60% Cabernet Franc and 40 - 50% Merlot from old vines with an average age of 55+ years, their Cabernet Franc Vines are seriously old at over 100 years of age! Matured for 18 - 24 months, most vintages in 100% new oak.
