Marchesi di Barolo 1967 Barolo

Barolo, often referred to as the “king of wines”,  must always be made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes-, and matured for a minimum period of 38 months, 18 of which must be in oak barrels - (traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks).

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.

Marchesi di Barolo was founded over two century's ago and is one of Italy's most iconic and historic wine estates. It was acquired in 1929 by winemaker Pietro Abbona and is today still owned by the Abbona Family.

Melini 'Antico Vinsanto' Vin Santo Occhio di Pernice 2x72cl

Vin Santo is a traditional sweet wine produced throughout Italy mainly in the region of Tuscany.  Typically, the wine will be made from the white grapes of the Trebbiano and/or Malvasia varieties, dried on straw mats to concentrate the natural flavours and grape sugars, then pressed and partially fermented with moderate to high residual sugars.

Vin Santo Occhio di Pernice is made from the red wine grape Sangiovese made in the same style as Vin Santo and is aged for a minimum of 10 years in caratelli.

M. Antoniolo 1971 Gattinara

Single vineyard 100% Spanna (aka Nebbiolo) from the northwestern Piedmont wine-region of Gattinara, Italy.

Antoniolo own 14 hectares in the crus of Osso San Grato, San Francesco and Castelle. The 3.5 hectare San Francesco vineyard is a west-facing slope behind the famed castle of Gattinara.

Moët & Chandon Petite Liquorelle Petillante circa 1980s 20cl

Petite Liquorelle was a short-lived experimental drink from Moët & Chandon, produced during the 1980s by blending their champagne with the distilled Marc de Champagne. Petite Liquorelle failed to find commercial success and was discontinued in the early 1990s.

Marc de Champagne is a colourless spirit, also referred to as a grappa, brandy or cognac, made in the Champagne region of France. It is produced from pressing the skins, seeds and pulp of the grapes left over from wine production rather than the juice.

Established in 1743 by Claude Moët, the world famous Moet & Chandon continues to be one of the world's largest champagne producers and most sought-after Champagne brands in the world.

Marqués de Murrieta Ygay 1999 Rioja Crianza / 150 Aniversario

Tempranillo dominant blend from the famed Rioja region in northern Spain.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja. 

Marqués de Murrieta is the oldest family winery based in Rioja, concentrating exclusively on the production of premium Reserva and Gran Reserva wines since 1852.

Mastrojanni 1996 Brunello di Montalcino

100% Sangiovese from the Tuscan town of Montalcino.

Brunello di Montalcino is one of the great under-appreciated wines of Italy.  100% Sangiovese which undergoes an extended period of pre-fermentation maceration to extract maximum colour, flavour and tannins which affords the wine its ability to mature for long periods.  Brunello di Montalcino must be aged in oak - commonly Slavonian oak - for a minimum of 2 years, though traditionally winemakers would age their Brunellos in oak for at least 3 years before release.

Sartori 1979 Amarone Recioto della Valpolicella Classico Superiore

Part of the Valpolicella family of wines, each Corvina and Rondinella dominant blends, Recioto Della Valpolicella is a sub-classification of Amarone.

Recioto Della Valpolicella is the unfamiliar cousin to the famous Amarone Della Valpolicella.  Both wines are produced from the same grape varieties which have been dried on straw-racks for periods of several months; Amarone is then fully fermented to very little residual sugar, whereas Reciotto is dried even longer before crushing and partially fermenting to leave a high residual sugar content.

This wine is from the Classico sub-region which is deemed to produce wines of particularly esteemed quality.

Merlot from California's renowned Napa Valley. 

The Napa Valley wine region is arguably California's best known wine producing area, famed for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends. It was officially recognised for its high-quality wines and distinctive regional terroir when it became California’s first American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 1981. 

Spalletti 'Poggio Reale' 1959 Chianti Rufina Riserva

The highly regarded Chianti Rufina, in the heartland of Tuscany, is the northeastern-most of the various sub-regions of Chianti and is distinguished for its high-altitude vineyards.

Many Chianti wines are made from 100% Sangiovese, however the region rules stipulate that the wines can be made from a minimum of 80% Sangiovese, with up to 20% of the final blend permitted to be constituted from a handful of other approved grape varieties such as Cabernet, Merlot and Syrah.

M.Chapoutier \"Chateau Des Estubiers\" 2004 Côteaux-Du-Tricastin

Grenache and Syrah dominant blend from the northernmost Southern Rhône appellation of Grignan-Les Adhemar (formerly known as Côteaux Du Tricastin).

Maison Chapoutier is without doubt one of the oldest and most renowned names in the Rhône producing some of the finest Hermitage. Today Chapoutier is both a negociant and wine maker and are active all over the Rhone valley in every major appellation owning close to 25% of the entire appellation.

Midin 'Cehennem Deresi' Hells Creek 2022 Turkey

A semi-dry white wine made from 80% Bılbızeki and 20% Mazrona grapes from the Şırnak wine region of Turkey. 

St. Panteleon Des Vignes 1985 Côtes-du-Rhône

Côtes-du-Rhône is one of the regional appellations in France's Rhône Valley. The wines are typically made up of a Grenache and/or Syrah dominant blend along with: Mourvèdre, Carignan, Cinsaut and seven other permitted grapes.

Sandeman Fine Ruby Port circa 1980s

A ruby Port from renowned producer, Sandeman.

Ruby Port is a relatively simple port made from a blend of young wines from multiple years. Matured in massive vats or tanks which prevent any significant oxidative effect which preserves the naturally ripe red berry character of the base wines. Ruby Ports do not improve with bottle age.

We estimate this to be circa 1980s.

St Morillon Medium Dry Graves 37.5cl

A white wine from the appellation of Graves. 

We are unable to confirm the type of wine this is however we believe this is will likely made from a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillion.
