Mature Muscat from Algeria, North Africa.

Domaine De La Trappe was purchased in 1904 by the Borgeaud family. 

Note- this is no vintage date noted. We estimate this to be circa 1930s or earlier. 

We are unable to confirm if this is a sweet or dry wine, due to the good clarity and it's age we assume this is sweet.

Bourgueil wine is made from the Cabernet Franc grape variety, which is locally called Cabernet Breton. Up to 10% of the wine can also be made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes.

Chablis is located in northern Burgundy and is one of the most well-known wine regions in France producing world renowned cool-climate Chardonnay. Compared to other Burgundian Chardonnays, Chablis wines typically have little or no oak influence- though many of the Grand Cru and Premier Cru wines receive some maturation in oak barrels.

Vin Doux Naturel (VDN) is a historic naturally sweet, lightly fortified wines made from red or white grapes by stopping the fermentation process halfway through by adding grape spirits.

Dow's Finest Reserve Port / Harrods

A Reserve Port from the house of Dow's, bottled for Harrods.

Reserve Port (originally called Vintage Character Port until 2002) is made from a blend of vintages that follow much the same maturation processes for either Ruby or Tawny Ports, but with more freedom for the winemakers to experiment and blend different wines and from different years to achieve their desired character and flavour profiles.

One of the great houses of Port- the name Dow has been associated with quality Port wine from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley for over two centuries.

The main grape varieties used in the Saint-Chinian AOC are: Syrah, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Carignan.

Chenin Blanc from the single vineyard of Le Marigny in the Loire Valley appellation of Vouvray.

The Vouvray wine region, located in the Loire Valley's Touraine district, is famed for its white wine made almost exclusively from the Chenin Blanc grape. Various styles: sweet, dry, still and sparkling are permitted in the region. Other than Chenin Blanc, the lesser-known and rarely seen Arbois grape is also permitted. Chenin Blanc is also known as Pineau de la Loire in Loire and Steen in South Africa.

Sweet Chenin Blanc from the parish of Rochefort-sur-Loire in the Anjou commune of the Loire Valley appellation of Coteaux Du Layon.

The wines of Coteaux du Layon are made from grapes that are very ripe, sun-dried on the vine, or affected by the \"Noble Rot\", botrytis cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the sweet wine.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
