Lustau 'Añada' 2002 Vintage Sherry 50cl

2002 vintage sweet Sherry which has been made from Palomino grapes and matured for 17 years in ex-Oloroso Sherry casks following a static, oxidative ageing. 

Sherry is exclusively produced in the region of Jerez, Spain. It is made from three traditional white wine grapes only. The Palomino grape is the most commonly used along with Moscatel and Pedro Ximenez.

The Sancerre wine region is located on the eastern side of France’s Loire Valley, in northwestern France, and wines from this region are commonly called Sancerre as well. Although famed for it's white wine made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes which account for the majority of the region’s production, small amounts of red wine are also produced from 100% pinot noir.

Bouzeron is produced from the grape variety Aligoté, and Bouzeron AOC is the only communal-level Burgundy appellation for Aligoté-based wines. The AOC regulations require 100% Aligoté for Bouzeron.

Domaine Chanzy has a historic presence in Bouzeron, and owns and operates an 80-hectare vineyard spread over the three Burgundy principal regions.

Semi-sweet Riesling from the eastern French wine-region of Alsace. 

The renowned Alsace wine region located in Eastern France, is home to aromatic white wines made from Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Riesling, Sylvaner, Muscat d'Alsace and Pinot Gris. A small amount of red wine is also produced in the region, mostly from Pinot Noir grapes. The wines are permitted to be made in a dry or sweet style. The history of Alsace, flitting between French and German ownership for centuries, imparts itself within the region's wines - a cacophony of grapes native to both countries, ennobled and respected individually.

Domaine De La Trappe was purchased in 1904 by the Borgeaud family. 

Note- this is no vintage date noted. We estimate this to be circa 1930s or earlier. 

We are unable to confirm if this is a sweet or dry wine, due to the good clarity and it's age we assume this is sweet.

Les Arums de Lagrange 2016 Bordeaux Blanc

From the appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Lagrange is a 3rd Growth (3eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

First released in 1996, Les Arums de Lagrange is a white wine from the estate and one of the very first white wines in the Médoc to be vinified in barrel. The wine is made from a Sauvignon blanc dominant blend with Sémillon from the regional appellation of Bordeaux.

Today Château Lagrange is owned by the Japanese liquor giant Suntory. Confusingly there is an unrelated estate of the same name located in the appellation of Pomerol.

Reserve Port (originally called Vintage Character Port until 2002) is made from a blend of vintages that follow much the same maturation processes for either Ruby or Tawny Ports, but with more freedom for the winemakers to experiment and blend different wines and from different years to achieve their desired character and flavour profiles.

One of the great houses of Port- the name Dow has been associated with quality Port wine from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley for over two centuries.

Various styles: sweet, dry, still and sparkling are permitted in the region. Other than Chenin Blanc, the lesser-known and rarely seen Arbois grape is also permitted. Chenin Blanc is also known as Pineau de la Loire in Loire and Steen in South Africa.

The wines of Coteaux du Layon are made from grapes that are very ripe, sun-dried on the vine, or affected by the \"Noble Rot\", botrytis cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the sweet wine.

This mead comes from the holy island of Lindisfarne off the coast of Northumberland in the north-east of England.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
