Kanonkop 'Paul Sauer' 2015 Stellenbosch 150cl

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend from South Africa's renowned Stellenbosch wine-region; Matured for 24 months in new 225 litre French oak nevers.

Named after Paul Sauer, who was elected to Parliament in the same year that he became owner of Kanonkop. 

This 2015 vintage Paul Sauer marked South Africa's first 100-point wine which was awarded by Tim Atkin. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Nicolas Potel 1999 Romanée Saint-Vivant Grand Cru

Burgundian Pinot Noir from the exceptional Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Romanée-Saint-Vivant in the Côte de Nuits sub-region.

In 2008 the Nicolas Potel estate and name were sold to Cottin Freres (owner of Laboure-Roi). Potel now sells his wines under the names Domaine de Bellene and a négociant  label Maison Roche de Bellene.

Nicolas Potel 1999 Romanée Saint-Vivant Grand Cru

Burgundian Pinot Noir from the exceptional Grand Cru vineyard and appellation of Romanée-Saint-Vivant in the Côte de Nuits sub-region.

In 2008 the Nicolas Potel estate and name were sold to Cottin Freres (owner of Laboure-Roi). Potel now sells his wines under the names Domaine de Bellene and a négociant  label Maison Roche de Bellene.

Niepoort 1977 Vintage Port​ 2x75cl

1977 vintage port from the renowned Niepoort Port House. Bottled in 1979.

Vintage Port is produced only in the most exceptional deemed years from a single harvest. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2-3 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades. The decision to declare a vintage is made by the individual Port house.

Krug 169eme Edition Grande Cuvee Brut NV Champagne

Non-vintage Champagne from the iconic House of Krug. 

This 169ème Édition is made from a blend of 146 wines from 11 different years, the youngest of which is from 2013, while the oldest dates back to 2000. Matured for around 7 years prior to being disgorged. 

The renowned Champagne house of Krug was founded by Johann-Joseph Krug in 1843 and has since been in the hands of the family for six generations. 

Etienne Sauzet 2008 Puligny-Montrachet 3x75cl

Chardonnay from the iconic Burgundian appellation of Puligny-Montrachet, within the subregion of Côte-de-Beaune.

Established in 1920, Etienne Sauzet is a family-run Domaine, known for producing some of the most renowned Chardonnay wine in Burgundy. Today their 15 hectares of vineyards spread over; Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Cormot-le-Grand in the Hautes Côtes de Beaune.

Krohn 1957 Colheita Port / Bottled 1978

Colheita Port is a single vintage-dated Tawny Port. It is similar to Vintage Port in that it is produced from the crop of a single exceptional year.  However, while Vintage Ports spend only a brief 2 years in large oak vats and the majority of their ageing in bottle, Colheita Ports are matured exclusively in smaller oak barrels for a minimum of seven years- although it is not uncommon that they are aged for much longer, as many as 50 to 100 years. 

Krohn Port House was founded in 1865 by two Norwegian cousins. Over the following 150 years, the firm built up an outstanding reputation for its cask-aged Ports, in particular its colheitas and single harvest tawnies. Today the port house produces a full range from White Port, Ruby, Vintage, Late Bottled Vintage, Tawny to old Colheitas.

First created in 1843, Grande Cuvée is the flagship release from Krug, re-created every year, regardless of annual climate variations. Krug Grande Cuvée is a blend of over 120 different wines from more than 10 different years.

Nicolas Potel 2005 Volnay 3x75cl

Pinot Noir from the classic Burgundian appellation of Volnay.

The Volnay AOC was created in 1937 and is a located in the Côte de Beaune subregion of Burgundy's Côte d'Or.  The appellation applies to red wine made from Pinot Noir although up to 15% of the white wine grape Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Gris are permitted in the blends- although this is rarely utilised by producers. Almost 30 Premier Cru vineyards can be found within Volnay.

Klein Constantia 1998 Vin de Constance 50cl

A renowned naturally super-sweet dessert wine from the Constantia wine-region of South Africa. Made made from 100% vine-dried muscat de Frontignan. Aged for 3 years in a combination of 50% new oak and acacia barrels, as well as large format foudres.

The approach used to create Vin de Constance is unique to Klein Constantia, tailored from historic information used to make the iconic sweet wines of Constantia in the 1700’s. From these records they have recreated a style of Muscat de Frontignan involving numerous winemaking techniques in order to create this sweet wine. 

Nyetimber 'Blanc-de-Blancs' 1992 English Sparkling

From the renowned Nyetimber estate located in the English county of West Sussex, this 1992 vintage sparkling wine has been made in the style - and same, traditional process- of Champagne, from France.

Of all non-Champagne sparkling wines, many of those produced in the south of England come closest in terms of style and quality.  With similarities in soils and climates, grape varieties (Chardonnay and Pinot Noir) which grow well, and method of production, it is natural that flavour will follow also.

Blanc-de-Blancs wines are made exclusively from white grapes- most commonly 100% Chardonnay.

Kloster Eberbach 'Rauenthaler Gehrn' Riesling Cabinet 1966 Rheingau

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard of Rauenthaler Baiken in the Rheingau region of west-central Germany.

Kabinett (Cabinet) is the lightest style of German wine. It is made from grapes which were picked at full ripeness (but not late-harvested) and the style typically ranges from dry to off-dry with well balanced residual sweetness and acidity.

Nyetimber 'Classic Cuvee' 2010 English Sparkling 150cl

2010 vintage sparkling from the renowned Nyetimber estate in the English county of West Sussex, made in the style - and same, traditional process- of Champagne, from France.

Classic Cuvee is made from a blend of 55-65% Chardonnay, 30-40% Pinot Noir and 5-15% Pinot Meunier and includes 20-35% reserve wines. Produced from estate grown grapes from West Sussex & Hampshire.

E.Guigal 1983 Hermitage

Syrah from the iconic northern Rhône Valley appellation of Hermitage.

E. Guigal is one of the most renowned producers in the Rhône Valley. It was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal in Ampuis, where the headquarters remain to this day. The wines of Guigal are aged for a prolonged period of time in oak. Typically maturing for 36 months in 50% new oak barrels.

Hermitage or Ermitage is a small but world-renowned appellation located in the Northern Rhône, responsible for some of France's most prestigious red wines made from Syrah. Though typically made with 100% Syrah, regulations allow the addition of up to 15% of the white grapes Marsanne and Roussanne to be included. White wine is also produced in Hermitage in smaller quantities.

Kapcsandy Family Winery State Lane Estate Cuvee 2005 Napa Valley

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend from Yountville in California's renowned Napa Valley.

The Napa Valley wine region is arguably California's best known wine producing area, famed for its Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux-style blends. It was officially recognised for its high-quality wines and distinctive regional terroir when it became California’s first American Viticultural Area (AVA) in 1981. 

Enrico Serafino 1955 Barbaresco

DOC Barbaresco is one of the great - yet largely unsung - wines of Italy.  Similar to it's more famous neighbour, Barolo; Barbaresco is made from Nebbiolo grapes and must be aged for a minimum of 26 months (at least 9 months in wooden barrels) prior to release.

The Enrico Serafino winery was founded as a wine business in 1878 in the small town of Canale in Piedmont, right in the town centre. The winery has now been in operation continuously in its original location for more than 140 years. 

Enrico Serafino 1964 Barolo Riserva 3x72cl

Barolo, often referred to as \"The King Of Wines\" is always made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes, as a Riserva classification, this wine was matured in oak for a minimum period of 62 months, including 18 months in wood- traditionally in large Slavonian oak casks.

Barolo wine comes from a traditional village of the same name located in the northern region of Piemonte. It is so revered that it was one of just three wines awarded DOCG status on the same day that the classification was introduced in July 1980. The region encompasses 11 villages in the heart of Piemonte, Most of the estates are small and family-owned, therefore production of wines from the Barolo DOCG is low.
