Kanonkop 'Paul Sauer' 2015 Stellenbosch 150cl

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend from South Africa's renowned Stellenbosch wine-region; Matured for 24 months in new 225 litre French oak nevers.

Named after Paul Sauer, who was elected to Parliament in the same year that he became owner of Kanonkop. 

This 2015 vintage Paul Sauer marked South Africa's first 100-point wine which was awarded by Tim Atkin. A blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

This 169ème Édition is made from a blend of 146 wines from 11 different years, the youngest of which is from 2013, while the oldest dates back to 2000. Matured for around 7 years prior to being disgorged. 

The renowned Champagne house of Krug was founded by Johann-Joseph Krug in 1843 and has since been in the hands of the family for six generations.

Krohn 1957 Colheita Port / Bottled 1978

Colheita Port is a single vintage-dated Tawny Port. It is similar to Vintage Port in that it is produced from the crop of a single exceptional year.  However, while Vintage Ports spend only a brief 2 years in large oak vats and the majority of their ageing in bottle, Colheita Ports are matured exclusively in smaller oak barrels for a minimum of seven years- although it is not uncommon that they are aged for much longer, as many as 50 to 100 years. 

Krohn Port House was founded in 1865 by two Norwegian cousins. Over the following 150 years, the firm built up an outstanding reputation for its cask-aged Ports, in particular its colheitas and single harvest tawnies. Today the port house produces a full range from White Port, Ruby, Vintage, Late Bottled Vintage, Tawny to old Colheitas.

First created in 1843, Grande Cuvée is the flagship release from Krug, re-created every year, regardless of annual climate variations. Krug Grande Cuvée is a blend of over 120 different wines from more than 10 different years.

Klein Constantia 1998 Vin de Constance 50cl

A renowned naturally super-sweet dessert wine from the Constantia wine-region of South Africa. Made made from 100% vine-dried muscat de Frontignan. Aged for 3 years in a combination of 50% new oak and acacia barrels, as well as large format foudres.

The approach used to create Vin de Constance is unique to Klein Constantia, tailored from historic information used to make the iconic sweet wines of Constantia in the 1700’s. From these records they have recreated a style of Muscat de Frontignan involving numerous winemaking techniques in order to create this sweet wine.

Kabinett (Cabinet) is the lightest style of German wine. It is made from grapes which were picked at full ripeness (but not late-harvested) and the style typically ranges from dry to off-dry with well balanced residual sweetness and acidity.

Kay Brothers \"Amery Vineyards\" Block 6 Shiraz 1998 McLaren Vale

Shiraz from the McLaren Vale, located just south of Adelaide: matured for over 24 months in American oak casks.

Kay Brothers is a family owned estate founded in 1890 by brothers Herbert & Frederick Kay- making it the oldest winery still in operation in McLaren Vale. Their wines are produced in small batches using the original open fermenters, hand plunging and our heritage 1928 basket press.

Korona Birtok 'Szamorodni' Szaraz 1996 Tokaji 50cl

The wines of the famed Tokaji wine region of northeastern Hungary are predominantly produced from the white wine grapes Furmint, which are left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp.

Tokaji wines are classified by sweetness, from 1 Puttonyos (dry) to 7 Puttonyos (absolute sweetness) and can be produced from the following grapes; Furmint, Hárslevelű, Yellow Muscat, Zéta (aka Oremus), Kövérszőlő and Kabar.
