Continuum 'Sage Mountain Vineyard' 2016 Napa Valley

Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend from California's world famous Napa Valley; matured for 21 months in oak barrels. 

This 2016 vintage is a blend of 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Cabernet franc, 18% Petit Verdot and 58% Merlot from the Sage Mountain vineyard which was planted in 1991 and 1996.

Continuum Estate was founded in 2005 by renowned Napa winemaker Robert Mondavi, and two of his children Tim and Marcia. 

In Napa Valley, Cabernet Sauvignon is King.  Widely reputed to be the new home of Cabernet Sauvignon, producing many of the grape's best wines outside of Bordeaux - and in many cases, rivalling those of Bordeaux; a bold claim for a grape that is successfully planted in so many of the world's wine regions.

Sauvignon Blanc from the iconic Loire Valley appellation of Pouilly-Fumé, located directly across the river from the equally famous appellation of Sancerre.

The Pouilly-Fumé appellation was created in 1937 and was originally named Blanc Fumé de Pouilly. The appellation exclusively produces white wines from 100% Sauvignon Blanc, with a distinctive smoky ('fumé) character. Not to be confused with Burgundy's Pouilly-Fuisse which is Chardonnay based.

Located in the Pauillac appellation, Château Pichon Longueville Baron is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The wines of Château Pichon Lalande tend to feature a higher proportion of Merlot within their Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blends, than other estates within the Pauillac appellation; Matured in new French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

Château D'Esclans 'Garrus' 2019 Cotes De Provence Rosé 300cl

Seriously old vine Rosé made from Grenache from the appellation of Côtes De Provence in the south of France.

Château D'Esclans is perhaps most well known for it's renowned Whispering Angel Rosé, Garrus is their most premium wine made from vines of almost 100 years of age and matured new 600 litre oak barrels.

This is a 3 litre double magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

From the famed Bordeaux appellation of Saint-Julien, Château Branaire-Ducru (sometimes referred to simply as Château Branaire) is a 4th Growth (4eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

​The wine is a typical left-bank Bordeaux-blend featuring a high dominance of Cabernet Sauvignon, approximately 25% Merlot and tiny portions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; matured for a minimum of 18 months in 60% new French oak barrels.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
