Dow's 1985 Vintage Port

Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character.  Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades.

One of the great houses of Port- the name Dow has been associated with quality Port wine from the vineyards of the Upper Douro Valley for over two centuries.

Domaine Daniel-Etienne Defaix 'Vieilles Vignes' 2000 Chablis 2x75cl

Old vine Chardonnay from the Burgundian appellation of Chablis.

The Defaix domaine is one of the oldest in Chablis dating back to the 13th century. Defaix is a traditional producer, with 28 hectares of vineyards, including vines in three Premier Cru sites (Les Lys, Vaillon and Côte de Lechet). Known today as Domaine Daniel-Etienne Defaix, who is the 14th generation at the helm of the estate.

Chablis is one of the most well-known wine regions in France producing famous Chardonnay, which unlike other Chardonnay wines, rarely uses oak-ageing.

Julian Haart 'Piesporter Goldtröpfchen' Riesling Kabinett 2014 Mosel

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard of Goldtröpfchen located in the village of Piesport in Germany's famous Mosel River valley. 

Kabinett is the lightest style of German wine. It is made from grapes which were picked at full ripeness (but not late-harvested) and the style typically ranges from dry to off-dry with well balanced residual sweetness and acidity. 

Dow's \"Quinta Do Bomfim\" 2005 Vintage Port

Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades.

This Port is from Dow's estate, Quinta Do Bomfim in the Douro Valley.

Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils 2016 Beaune du Chateau 1er-Cru

Old vine Pinot Noir made from a blend of grapes from several Premier Cru vineyards within Beaune located in the Côte-d'Or of Burgundy. 

Founded in 1731, Bouchard Père & Fils is one of Burgundy’s oldest and most renowned wine-merchant houses also known as negociants. Bouchard Pere & Fils has been producing the Beaune du Chateau Cuvee since 1907.

José Gil 'Viñedos en San Vicente de la Sonsierra' 2018 Rioja

Tempranillo domiant blend from the famed Rioja region of northern Spain.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja. 

Domaine Vincent & Francois Jouard 'La Maltroie' 1998 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er-Cru 2x75cl

Chardonnay from the Premier Cru vineyard of La Maltroie in the iconic Burgundian appellation of Chassagne-Montrachet: matured for 15 months in 25-30% new oak barrels.

This Port is from Dow's estate, Quinta Do Bomfim in the Douro Valley.

Domaine Martin Faudot 2001 Arbois 150cl

Likely a blend of Chardonnay and Savagnin, from the appellation of Arbois in the Jura region of eastern France.

This is a 1.5 litre magnum bottle. Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.

Dr. Loosen 'Graacher Himmelreich' Riesling Kabinett 2015 Mosel

Semi-sweet Riesling from the single vineyard, Himmelreich by the village of Graach on the steep eastern bank of the famous Mosel river, just north of the town of Bernkastel-Kues.

James Irvine Grand Merlot 1990 Eden Valley

Merlot from Australia's Eden Valley, located just north of Adelaide.

Grand Merlot is the flagship wine of the James Irvine estate, typically matured for around 2 years in oak barrels prior to release.

D'Oliveiras 10 Year Old Medium-Sweet NV Madeira

A medium-sweet, non-vintage Madeira, likely produced from one of the four major white grape varieties used for Madeira production, (from sweetest to driest) Malvasia, Bual, Verdelho, and Sercial.

Madeira is a fortified wine produced from native grapes grown exclusively on the Portuguese island of Madeira.

Founded in the mid-1800s under the name Joao Pereira D'Oliveira & Filhos, D'Oliveiras is a historic Madeira producer and one of a small few to survive from the pre-phylloxera era.
