The renowned Boekenhoutskloof estate was established in 1776 in the furthest corner of the Franschhoek valley and specialises in Syrah and Syrah dominant blends. In 1993 estate purchased the farm and homestead and a new vineyard planting programme was established that today includes Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Semillon and Viognier.
