Bottle Details

Château Pichon Longueville au Baron de Pichon-Longueville 2009 Pauillac 2eme-Cru 2x75cl

Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend from the Pauillac appellation; Matured in 70-80% French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

Chateau Pichon-Longueville au Baron de Pichon-Longueville is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is frequently referred to as one of the leading \"Super Seconds\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

The estates vines were planted in the 17th century and the Chateau gained almost immediate notoriety. The vineyards were split in 1850 between the children of Baron Joseph Pichon de Longueville and so, Pichon-Baron (as it is now more commonly called to separate it from its rival estate) was created.

Rated 98 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate.
