Discover and bid on unique, highly limited and renowned wines in our online auctions each month.
You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.
Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.
Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £5.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).
Incremental Bidding Explained
Our system increases bids based on preset increments, as shown in the table below, whether you set a maximum bid or make a single bid.
Château Haut-Brion 2006 Graves 1er-Cru 12 x 75cl
From the appellation of Graves, Château Haut Brion is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates, listed as one of only five 1st Growth (1er-Cru) in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc - and the only estate in this classification not actually located in the Medoc!
Founded in 1553 by Jean de Pontac, Haut-Brion is the oldest of the Bordeaux's Grands Crus, it was also the first wine in Bordeaux history to have the same name as the domain. Haut-Brion is a rarity amongst many Bordeaux growths in that it produces both red (Haut-Brion) and white (Haut-Brion Blanc) wine from it's 51 hectares of vines.
The wines of Château Haut-Brion feature varying compositions of approximately 40-50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 35-45% Merlot, with Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot; matured in oak barrels (80% new) for 18-22 months.
Please note that there shall be a shipping charge for 12 bottles applied to this lot.
