Bidding advice
You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.
Placing a Maximum Bid
Use the "Set your bid limit" button on the left side of the bidding panel to enter the highest amount you're willing to bid on a lot. Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.
Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £5.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).

Ch. Rothschild 1979 Pauillac Vertical 3x75cl / Original Wooden Case
A smartly presented case of three 1979 vintage wines from Bordeaux.
- Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1979 Pauillac 1er-Cru 75cl
Elevated to 1st-Growth of the 1855 Classification of Medoc in 1973, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates. This is a classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured in French Oak barrels for 18 to 22 months.
- Chateau Clerc Milon 1979 Pauillac 5eme-Cru 75cl
Chateau Clerc Milon is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc. Located across the road from Chateau Lafite-Rothschild, Ch. Clerc Milon was purchased by the Rothschild family in 1970. The wine is typically a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (approximately 70%), Merlot (20%) and Cabernet Franc, matured in oak barrels for 18 months.
- Chateau Mouton Baronne Philippe 1979 Pauillac 5eme-Cru 75cl
From the famed Bordeaux appellation of Pauillac, Chateau d'Armailhac is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc. Purchased by the Rothschild family in 1934, the Chateau has historically produced under the names Mouton Baron Philippe, Mouton Baronne Philippe and Mouton d'Armailhac. The wines feature the classic Bordeaux grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc; unusually however, vintage variation is significant with a majority being contributed from any one of these 3 grapes; matured in oak barrels for 14 to 16 months.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes.
The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
