Bollinger 'Special Cuvée' NV Champagne

Non-vintage Champagne from the renowned House of Bollinger.

Founded in 1829 initially under the name Renaudin Bollinger & Cie, Bollinger is one of the last independent Champagne houses. The house continues to be run by members of the Bollinger family to this day. The House’s 178 hectares are planted with 85% of Grand Cru and Premier Cru vines, the majority of which are Pinot Noir which is dominant in their wines. 

Bernard-Massard 'Royal Framboise' Peach/Raspberry Luxembourg Sparkling Wine 4x75cl

Semi-sweet sparkling wines from the Moselle region of Luxembourg. These are made from a blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Blanc grapes. 

This lot contains three raspberry sparkling and one peach sparkling wines.

Federico Paternina 1967 Rioja Gran Reserva

Tempranillo dominant blend from the Rioja region in northern Spain. Classified as a Gran Reserva, this wine was matured for a minimum period of 24 months in oak barrels.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja. 

Berberana 1964 Rioja Gran Reserva

Belliard 'Secret de Belliard' 2014 is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon - an intriguing wine produced by the Maison Belliard, a Bordeaux-based winery known for its dedication to quality and innovation.

The 'Secret de Belliard' vineyard origins are not disclosed, offering a unique tasting experience.

This non-traditional approach allows the winemakers to experiment and create a wine that stands out from the classic Bordeaux and Vin de France offerings.

Branson Coach House 'Greenock Rare Single Vineyard' Shiraz 2005 Barossa Valley

Single Vineyard Shiraz from the renowned Barossa Valley in South Australia; Aged for 20 months in French oak.

The small winery of Branson Coach House was established in 1998. When the original proprietor of Branson wines, Malcolm Aspden, passed away, the winery and property were purchased by Two Hands Wines who announced the re-launch of Branson Wines with the release of the 2002 \"Bch\" Shiraz. Two Hands now oversee the wines which are made side by side with their own wines by the same winemaker, Matt Wenk.

Fonseca 'Traditional' 1983 LBV Port

1983 Late Bottled Vintage Port from the house of Fonseca. Bottled in 1988.

Fonseca Guimaraens, often simply called Fonseca was founded in 1815, Fonseca Port is considered one of the leading Port wine companies, famed for its Vintage Port since their first release in 1840.

Late Bottled Vintage (LBV) Port is a specific style of Ruby Port in which the fortified wine - from a single, specified vintage - is aged for an extended period of time before bottling.  Unlike Vintage Ports, LBV Ports do not continue to mature in the bottle.

Baileys of Glenrowan Shiraz 1992 Victoria 2x75cl

Baron Philippe de Rothschild 1991 Sauternes

The wines of Sauternes are produced from a blend of the white wine grapes Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and occasionally a small amount of Muscadelle, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the one of the worlds most sought after sweet wines.

Barton & Guestier 1971 Pomerol 2x73cl

A Merlot dominant blend from the right-bank Bordeaux appellation of Pomerol.

From historic négociant, Barton & Guestier, which was founded in Bordeaux in 1725 and is present today in 130 countries around the world. Released to celebrate their 250th anniversary 1725 - 1975.

Ferghettina 'Franciacorta' Milledi Brut 2018 Franciacorta Sparkling

2018 vintage sparkling wine from the small area of Franciacorta within the larger region of Lombardy in northern Italy.

Made from 100% Chardonnay grapes and in the style - and same, traditional process (metodo classico)- of Champagne, from France.

The sparkling wines from Franciacorta's were promoted to DOCG classification (the highest level of Italian wine classification) in 1995.

A non-vintage Champagne produced by the renowned house of Louis Roederer exclusively for the upmarket department store, Fortnum & Mason.

The famed Champagne Wine Region located in the northeast of France is renowned for producing the world's most celebrated sparkling wine. Champagne is typically made from one or a combination of the three predominant grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier, although there are four other lesser-known grape varieties that are permitted to be included: Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Petit Meslier and Arbane.

The François Jobard estate is today named Antoine Jobard. Antoine started working alongside his father, François in 2002 and 2007 took over the estate.

Boscarelli 1998 Vino Nobile di Montepulciano

Red wine made from prugnolo gentile (Sangiovese) grapes from the Tuscan region of Vino Nobile Di Montepulciano situated around the town of Montepulciano.

Not to be confused with the Montepulciano grape variety, this rarely-seen (outside of Italy) red wine from the town of Montepulciano in southeast Tuscany, is made from 100% Sangiovese.

Ferreira 'Dona Antonia' Reserva Port

A reserve Port from the house of Ferreira.

Reserve Port (originally called Vintage Character Port until 2002) is made from a blend of vintages that follow much the same maturation processes for either Ruby or Tawny Ports, but with more freedom for the winemakers to experiment and blend different wines and from different years to achieve their desired character and flavour profiles.

Foncalieu Puychéric 'Grain d'Automne' Marsanne Surmurie Vin de France Dessert Wine 50cl

A sweet dessert wine made from Marsanne grapes from Vin de France.

These grapes have been affected by noble rot, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the sweet wine.

Vin de France (formerly Vin de Table) is the national French appellation. The wines are predominantly produced in the south of France, particularly in Languedoc-Roussillon.

Beyerskloof 'Reserve Selection' Pinotage 2013 Western Cape

Pinotage from the South Africa's Western Cape.

Founded in 1988 by South African wine industry pioneer Beyers Truter, the Beyerskloof estate is one of the leading producers in South Africa and describes itself as \"the home of Pinotage\".

Pinotage is a unique and hardy grape variety that was created in South Africa by Dr. Abraham Perold in 1925 from a cross between Pinot Noir and Cinsault. Today it is synonymous with South African winemaking and grown almost exclusively in country.

Badia a Coltibuono 1975 Chianti Classico Riserva

Sangiovese dominant blend from the iconic wine-region of Chianti in the heart of Tuscany. Classed as a Chianti Classico Riserva, this wine must have been aged for a minimum of 24 months including 3 months of bottle ageing.

Chianti Classico wines must contain a minimum of 80% of Sangiovese. The remainder can be made from native grapes such as Canaiolo or Colorino, as well as international varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Wines made only from Sangiovese have been permitted since 1996.

Fontedicto 'Pirouette 5' Vin de Table France 2x75cl

Multi-vintage red wine blend including Shiraz, Grenache and Carignan from Vin de France.

Vin de France (formerly Vin de Table prior to 2009) is the national French appellation in which the producer is not required to comply with appellation laws and traditional regional constraints. The winemaker has the freedom to create their wines from anywhere in France from different regions, vintages and from unsanctioned grape varieties or blends. The quality of these wines can vary drastically from uncomplicated basic wines to high-quality diverse wines that command a high price.

Finest Madeira circa 1990s / Tesco

A sweet, non-vintage Madeira made from a blend of Tinta Negra Mole, Malvalsia and Bual grapes and aged for a minimum of three years in oak.

Madeira is a fortified wine produced from native grapes grown exclusively on the Portuguese island of Madeira. The four major white grape varieties used for Madeira production, (from sweetest to driest) are; Malvasia, Bual, Verdelho, and Sercial.

Brown Brothers Orange Muscat & Flora Late Harvest 2007 Victoria

Late Harvest wines are made from fully ripe grapes left on the vines for an extended period until the shrivelling to raisins concentrates the sweet sugary pulp within.

This sweet wine is a blend of Orange Muscat and Flora grapes, from the Australian wine-region of Victoria.
