Château d’Yquem 2007 Sauternes 1er Cru Supérieur

Château d'Yquem, located in the Sauternes appellation of Bordeaux, France, is world-renowned for its exceptional sweet wines. With a history dating back to 1593, the estate has long been recognized for its unique terroir, situated on a hilltop with well-draining gravel and clay soils that are perfect for cultivating Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc.

The region's misty mornings and warm afternoons encourage the development of noble rot (Botrytis cinerea), which concentrates the grapes' sugars and flavours. Château d'Yquem was classified as a Premier Cru Supérieur in the 1855 Bordeaux Classification, the highest possible ranking, highlighting its unparalleled quality and longevity. The blend traditionally consists of 75% Sémillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc and is matured in 100% new French oak barrels for 30 months.

Chateau Pichon-Longueville au Baron de Pichon-Longueville is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is frequently referred to as one of the leading \"Super Seconds\" - 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.

The estates vines were planted in the 17th century and the Chateau gained almost immediate notoriety. The vineyards were split in 1850 between the children of Baron Joseph Pichon de Longueville and so, Pichon-Baron (as it is now more commonly called to separate it from its rival estate) was created.

Margaux is a famed appellation located in the Haut-Médoc district of in the Right Bank of Bordeaux, southwestern France. Esprit De L'Eglise is the second wine of the Pomerol estate Clos L'Eglise. 

As per the grand vin the proportions are usually around 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. This estate was formally named Clos L'Eglise Clinet which changed to Chateau L'Eglise Clinet which eventually evolved to what we know today as Clos L'Eglise.

Château La Mission Haut-Brion 2001 Pessac-Léognan Grand-Cru

Château La Mission Haut-Brion from the Pessac-Léognan appellation (originally Graves before 1987), is widely regarded as being on par with the five prestigious 1st-Growth estates as ranked in the famed 1855 Classification of the Medoc; itself ranked within the Classification of Graves 1959.

Typically a Merlot dominant blend closely followed by Cabernet Sauvignon and with a small proportion of Cabernet Franc; aged in oak barriques (70-85% new) for 18- 20 months.

This 2001 vintage is made from a blend of 62% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc.

Château Ducru-Beaucaillou is one oldest estates in the Medoc dating back to the 13th century. The 75-hectare vineyard has an average vine age of 35 years, however, Ducru-Beaucaillou also has old vines. Their oldest plot is the Les Sadons parcel was planted all the way back in 1918.

Hugel 'Jubilee' Réserve Personnelle' Gewürztraminer 1993 Alsace 12x75cl

Gewürztraminer from the eastern French wine-region of Alsace.

Jubilee was first created in 1989 to celebrate the Hugel family's 350th anniversary. The Jubilee wines are made only in the best deemed vintages from the family’s oldest vineyard estates in Riquewihr.

Hugel is a name synonymous with Alsace, founded all the way back in 1639, the estate is today still run by the same family with it's 13th generation at the helm.

Château Ausone 2002 Saint-Émilion 1er-Grand-Cru

Châ​teau​ Ausone is an iconic estate that has held rank of Premier Grand Cru Classe \"A\" in each Classification of Saint-Émilion since the qualification's formation in 1959. In 2021 Château Ausone voluntary withdrew from the official Saint-Émilion classification system as they did not agree with the new classification specifications.

The wines are typically a blend of 50 - 60% Cabernet Franc and 40 - 50% Merlot from old vines with an average age of 55+ years, their Cabernet Franc Vines are seriously old at over 100 years of age! Matured for 18 - 24 months, most vintages in 100% new oak.
