Cantine Villadoria 1973 Barbaresco

DOC Barbaresco is one of the great - yet largely unsung - wines of Italy.  Similar to it's more famous neighbour, Barolo; Barbaresco is made from Nebbiolo grapes and must be aged for a minimum of 26 months (at least 9 months in wooden barrels) prior to release.

Barbaresco's first cooperativeor 'Cantina Sociale' Produttori del Barbaresco was founded in 1894 by Domizio Cavazza. Today it has 50 members with approximately 110 hectares of Nebbiolo vineyards.

Clos Jean 1994 Loupiac

A sweet white wine from the Loupiac region of Bordeaux. 

The wines of Loupiac are produced from any combination of the permitted grapes; Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Muscadelle and Sauvignon Gris, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to exclusively make sweets white wine.

Coto de Imaz 1973 Rioja Reserva

Tempranillo dominant red wine from the famed Rioja region in northern Spain; Classified as a Reserva, this wine was matured for a minimum period of 36 months including 12 months in oak barrels.

Rioja is arguably Spain's top wine region and is one of only two regions classified under the Denominación de Origen Calificada (DOCa) system. Other than Tempranillo and Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo (Carignan) are also used in the red wines of Rioja.

This 1995 vintage is made from a blend of 70% Merlot, and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Château de Reignac 2002 Bordeaux-Supérieur

Merlot dominant blend from the regional Bordeaux-Supérieur appellation.

This 2002 vintage from Château de Reignac is made from a blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet: matured for 19 months in 100% new French oak barrels.

Merlot dominant Bordeaux-blend from the satellite appellation of Premiers-Côtes-de-Bordeaux.

As of 2014 the Premiers-Côtes-de-Bordeaux wine region was changed, only sweet white wines are now permitted to made in the area from this time. 

Pierre Laforest 'Les Montanieres' 1991 Madiran

Red wine blend of Tannat dominance from the appellation of Madiran in the southwest of France.

The little-known region of Madiran is located around the village of Madiran in Gascony, rural south-west France. Only red wines are permitted in the appellation with Tannat making up a minimum of 60% of the wine blended with any of the following; Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Fer Servadou. 

Célestin Blondeau 'Les Moulins Bales' 2021 Sancerre Rosé

Rosé wine made from 100% Pinot Noir from the iconic Loire Valley appellation of Sancerre.

Sancerre is a small appellation located in the eastern part of the Loire valley famed for it's world renowned Sauvignon Blanc- although it also produces reds and rosé from Pinot Noir. Almost all of the appellation lies on the left bank of the Loire, opposite Pouilly-Fumé

Château de Pierreux 2021 Brouilly

Gamay from the Beaujolais appellation of Brouilly, France. 

The appellation of Brouilly is the largest in the Beaujolais wine region of Burgundy which applies to red wine made from the Gamay grape. While most of the appellations wines are made from 100% Gamay, a small portion of the white wine grapes Chardonnay, Aligoté and Melon de Bourgogne are permitted to be included alongside the Gamay wines.

Château Latour-a-Pomerol 1982 Pomerol 12x75cl

Merlot dominant (90-100%), right-bank Bordeaux-blend; matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 18 months.

The exact origins of Château​ Latour à Pomerol are not clear, however the estate remains one of the leading Pomerol properties today. In 2002 the estate was donated to the Fondation de Foyers de Charité de Châteauneuf de Galaure. Since 1962 the property has been run and farmed by the renowned Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix.

Concha y Toro 'Don Melchor' Puente Alto Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 Puente Alto 6x75cl

Single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from the Puente Alto sub-region of the larger Maipo Valley region in Chile.

This 2011 vintage is made from 99% Cabernet Sauvignon with 1% Cabernet Franc and aged for 12-15 months in two-thirds new oak barrels.
