product Details

Chateau Leoville Barton 1943 Saint Julien 2eme-Cru

Chateau Leoville Barton is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

Typically a classic Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (80-85%), Merlot (~15%) and Cabernet Franc (0-5%), matured in oak barrels for a period of 16-18 months.

This bottle is an incredibly rare example of a wartime vintage, distributed by the regional negociant firm of Barton & Guestier.
