product Details

Dönnhoff Oberhauser Brucke Riesling Eiswein 2010 Nahe 35cl

Sweet Riesling Eiswein from the Nahe wine-region just west of Frankfurt. The estate is located in the small village of Oberhausen in the Riesling heartland of Nahe.

The Dönnhoff family first came to the Nahe region 250 years ago. Helmut Dönnhoff had been making these renowned wines since 1966, and now his son Cornelius is the 4th generation to run this historic winery.

Eiswein (or ice-wine) is made from grapes which were picked in the middle of winter.  The water content inside each grape being frozen, when gently cold-pressed, the sweet sugary pulp is drawn separately and vinified to a delightfully sweet wine.
