Single vineyard, old vine Cabernet Sauvignon Bordeaux-style blend from the Montello-Colli Asolani DOC region of Veneto in northeastern Italy.
The first vintage of Capo di Stato was made in 1964 and is a blend of approximately two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc; matured for 24 months in oak barriques.
These are limited release bottles of the renowned Capo di Stato with labels depicting the male and female soul of the grape works created in 1967 by the Italian artist Tono Zancanaro and called “ Des Roses pour Madame ” and “et pour Monsieur la Bombe ”.
