product Details

Mystery Bottle 1922

This bottle has proved to be quite the mystery as it is absent of either front or rear label.  What it does have is a wax seal stamped 1922.  Using all of our deductive skills we are as close to certain as is possible that this is an old Vintage Port.  The most likely producer is Taylor & Fladgate who were known to infrequently seal their vintage ports with green wax, similarly stamped.

This bottle is in satisfactory condition: severe cosmetic damage to label; seal intact; cork/closure secure, no leakage.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
