Blanchy's 1905 Sauternes
The wines of Sauternes are produced from a blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, left on the vines until affected by the noble fungus, Botrytis Cinerea, which dehydrates the grapes to raisins, leaving only the sweet sugary pulp with which to make the most incredible sweet wine.
This is an incredibly old bottle from the 1905 vintage, bottled for the family reserve of Marquis Ridolfo Peruzzi de Medici, of Florence, Italy.
This bottle is in acceptable condition: damage to or missing label/seal; evidence of a slight crack on the glass; cork loose, no leakage.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit or otherwise spoilage of contents.
