Château Margaux 1940 Margaux 1er-Cru 2x37.5cl
One of the most iconic wineries in the world, Château Margaux has been at the forefront of the wine industry since its foundation in 16th Century and even more so since its placement within the top rung of French wines in Napoleon's 1855 Classification. The vineyards of Chateau Margaux are planted with 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc - ratios to which the wines can be expected to follow with slight vintage variation; Matured for 18-24 months in new French Oak barrels.
These bottles appear to be in excellent condition: labels & foil/wax seals intact; cork/closures appear secure, no leakage.
The contents of these bottles appear to be mature in colour and of good clarity. Please note fill-levels.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit or otherwise spoilage of contents.
