Château Haut-Batailley 1969 Pauillac 5eme-Cru

From the famed Bordeaux appellation of Pauillac, Château Haut-Batailley is one of two estates which were together - as Château Batailley - recognised as a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.

The estate's vineyards are planted to 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc - proportions to which the wines can be expected to roughly follow, with slight vintage variation; Matured in French Oak barrels for approximately 20 months.
