From the appellation of Saint-Julien, Chateau Ducru-Beaucaillou is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and frequently regarded as one of the leading "Super Seconds".
Typically a classic Bordeaux-blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (approximately 70%) and Merlot; Matured in oak barrels for 18 months.
This bottle is from the excellent 1986 vintage.
