Francone 1971 Barbaresco Riserva 380cl
DOC Barbaresco is one of the great - yet largely unsung - wines of Italy. Similar to it's more famous neighbour, Barolo; Barbaresco is made from Nebbiolo grapes, matured for a minimum period of 12 months in oak barrels. Under the "Riserva" Classification, this wine was matured for at least 4 years prior to release.
Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation.
Please note that there shall be a shipping charge equivalent to 5 bottles applied to this lot.
This bottle appears to be in excellent condition: label & foil/wax seal intact; cork/closure appears secure, no leakage.
It is not possible to ascertain colour or clarity of the contents of this bottle.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit or otherwise spoilage of contents.
