Chateau Pontet-Canet 1996 Pauillac 5eme-Cru 6x150cl
Chateau Pontet-Canet is a 5th Growth (5eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.
The wine is typically a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (approximately 60%) and Merlot (30-35%), with small volumes of Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc; matured in French Oak barrels for 16-20 months.
Large-format bottles are great for extended ageing periods due to the wine's slower rate of maturation. Indeed, this is a fantastic opportunity to purchase a mature case of quality Bordeaux.
These 6 magnums of the very well received 1996 vintage are presented in their original wooden case, unopened prior to this listing.
Please note that there shall be a shipping charge equivalent to 12 bottles applied to this lot.
We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.
Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
