From the Bordeaux appellation of Pessac-Leognan in the north of the sub-region of Graves, Château Pape Clement is recognised as a Grand Cru estate in the 1959 Classification of Grave Wines.
The wine is typically a full Bordeaux-blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc; matured for 18 months in French Oak barrels.
