product Details

Robertsons Imperial Tawny Port

Tawny Port is a particular style of Port in which the fortified wines are aged for a number of years in small oak casks.  This process of deliberate and careful oxidative maturation imparts typical characteristics of stewed fruits, nuts and leather.  The wines do not age or improve further upon bottling.

While missing its official labels, there has been a note stuck to this bottle identifying it as Robertson's Imperial Port - which is known to have been a Tawny Port.

We can identify this bottle as being pre-1970s.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
