From the Pauillac appellation and ranked as one of the original four 1st Growths (1er-Cru) in the famed 1855 Classification of Medoc, Chateau Lafite-Rothschild is one of the great Bordeaux wine estates.
This bottle of Domaine Barons De Rothschild (Lafite) is made from grapes grown on younger vines at Chateau Lafite and the Rothschild-owned neighbouring Chateau Duhart Milon.
Bottled for the royal residence, Buckingham Palace.
