Penfolds Grange 1994 South Australia

This 1994 vintage is a blend of 89% Shiraz and 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes having been sourced from vineyards throughout South Australia including the world-renowned Barossa Valley; Matured in new American Oak hogsheads for 17 months prior to bottling in 1995.

Penfolds is one of Australia's great iconic wineries and has been making world renowned wines since 1844. It was established at Magill Estate in the Adelaide Hills in 1844 by Dr Christopher Rawson Penfold and his wife Mary who In the early years, produced and sold fortified wines. Today Penfolds offer a huge variety of wines ranging from entry-level to premier offerings such as their flagship "Grange". On its 50th birthday in 2001, Grange was listed as a South Australian heritage icon.
