product Details

Constantino's 1910 Colheita Port

The port house Sociedad do Vinhos Porto Constantino  (S.V.P) was founded in 1877 by Constantino de Almeida who went on to purchase the Quinta do Crasto estate in the Douro Valley and was a independent producer until it was acquired by the reputable Ferreira group

Colheita Port is similar to Vintage Port in that it is produced from the crop of a single exceptional year.  However, while Vintage Ports spend only a brief 2 years in large oak vats and the majority of their ageing in bottle, Colheita Ports are matured exclusively in smaller oak barrels for as many years as the producer deems necessary.

This bottle is from the 1910 vintage, bottled in 1971.

Important Notice

We would recommend viewing/close inspection prior to placing any bids. If this is not an option and you have questions beyond the offered description and images, please contact us for a more in-depth condition report. Otherwise lots will be sold as seen in the images.

Please note: Due to the various ages of bottles and their seals, condition of liquid is at the buyer's discretion and no claim can be lodged against failure/leakage in transit.
