From the semi-regional appellation of Haut-Medoc, Chateau La Lagune is a 3rd Growth (3eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc.
The vineyards are planted with approximately 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot and 10% Petit Verdot - a ratio to which their wine generally follows, with slight vintage variation; matured in oak barrels for 15 to 18 months.
The 2000 vintage is a blend of; 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 10% Petit Verdo
