Muga Seleccion Especial Reserva 2011 Rioja
Tempranillo dominant blend from the northern Spanish wine-region of Rioja; Classified as a Reserva this wine was aged for 28 months in French and American oak.
The Rioja wine region is split into three sub-regions, Rioja Alavesa, Rioja Alta and Rioja Baja. Rioja wine is made from a blend of grape varieties with Tempranillo being dominant; it makes up more than 80% of plantings in the area, Garnacha is typically included in the blend; Mazuelo (aka Cariñena or Carignan) and Graciano may also be included.
This wine is a blend of; 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 10% Graciano and Mazuelo.
