Sweet, fortified wine from the Portuguese island of Madeira, produced exclusively from Malvasia (aka Malmsey) - the sweetest of the 4 Noble grapes of Madeira - matured in oak barrels for 10 years.
Founded in 1811 on the island of Madeira by John Ernest Blandy, the Blandy name has become synonymous with quality Madeira wine. For over two centuries and seven generations, the Blandy family have played a leading role in the development of one of the world’s greatest and most unique wines. Today members of the family continue to live and work on the island.
