Château Margaux 1985 Margaux 1er-Cru 6x75cl
Château Margaux is one of the most legendary Grands Crus that have been fundamental in the establishment of Bordeaux's reputation, and more particularly the reputation of the Left Bank, in the Medoc region. Since the twelfth century this property has been known as the "Mothe de Margaux".
The estate has 82 hectares under vine, with Cabernet Sauvignon dominating the crop (75%) and Merlot (20%) making up most of the rest. There is a smattering of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, as well. What makes Margaux unique to its counterparts is the production of a white wine, Pavillon Blanc, made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc.
Classic Cabernet Sauvignon dominant, left-bank Bordeaux-blend; Matured for 18-24 months in new French Oak barrels.
