Niepoort 1934 Colheita Port

Colheita Port is similar to Vintage Port in that it is produced from the crop of a single exceptional year.  However, while Vintage Ports spend only a brief 2 years in large oak vats and the majority of their ageing in bottle, Colheita Ports are matured exclusively in smaller oak barrels for as many years as the producer deems necessary.

The Niepoort family has been making port in Portugal's Douro Valley since 1842 and has one of the best reputations in the industry.

This bottle is from the 1934 vintage, bottled in 1972.

  • This bottle appears to be in good condition: minor cosmetic damage to label; seal intact; cork/closure appears secure, no leakage.
